T-Pain Apologizes To Jay-Z

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

T Pain is trying his best to get assimilated back in the rap game after having his image tarnished with his “f&%k Jay-Z” alcohol induced rant. As previously reported, the auto-tune aristocrat was offended by Jay Z's diss to the one thing that's made him famous, auto-tune. He spoke out against Jay saying: (more...)

Raekwon "Deads" Collab Album With Ghost and Mef

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

There seems to be come some type of confusion in the Wu camp as it pertains to members Ghostace Killah, Method Man and Raekwon.  As the release of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…pt.2  was approaching there were rumors swirling of an alleged album in the process comprised of the three.

Raekwon touched on the subject through his Twitter stating that fans should expect more albums before the year closed and asked what they thought about an album of just the three.  The sequel to the Chef's masterpiece showed exactly what type of force they are when they are featured on the same track with joints like “House of Flying Daggers” and “The New Wu.”

Method Man would be the person to put a cease to all speculation as he made the official announcement last week that the three were joining forces for one album…guess even he was wrong (more...)

11-Year Old Tries To Eliminate The N-Word

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

A prolific 11-year old boy is making headlines for his bold speech on one of the most controversial words in American culture. Jonathan E. McCoy is a gifted child that's speaking out against people's use of the N word. He's receiving national praise and acclaim for his youthful words of wisdom, even receiving a Presidential award signed by Barack Obama.

The pre-teen gave a speech at Empowerment Church in Baltimore called “The New Petition”. The riling speech was presented before 1500 congregants and was focused on eliminating the N-word from common vernacular. The young man made his plea to the congregation saying:

“Unfortunately this misinterpretation of our heritage has been perpetuated among our own race. Rather than obliterate this disrespectful term we have adapted it as a cultural phrase. You've heard it, “What's up my n-word?” Or maybe you've said it, “Get out my face n-word.”So why have we taken this word to use it in our everyday language to communicate to or about ourselves? Let me dispel the myth, as a people we are neither economically, politically, nor socially disenfranchised…..So I'm petitioning you to join me in deleting this word from our vocabulary as a people, as a nation and as a world.”

Well said young man. Well said.

Since delivering the speech the young boy has been working with Morehouse College's Student Housing department on a new campaign to eliminate sagging pants, cursing and use of the N-word on the college campus.

Is Dame Dash Biting Onyx?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

There seems to be some sort of rift brewing or more of a conflict of interest between Damon Dash and rap group Onyx.

As reported earlier, Dame has been clawing his way back to the top since collapsing with the fall of Roc-A-Fella and his break up with Jay-Z.  From documentaries to music to clothing, the ultimate hustler has been in the process of reclaiming his place as one of the top entrepreneurs within the Hip-Hop industry.

Every road has its share of bumps to go over, however, as one of his upcoming projects has cleary rubbed the rap group the wrong way.
