Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009Senator Carves Girlfriend's Face, Caught Assaulting Her On Camera
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009A seat in the halls of government can grant one seemingly limitless power, at least that's what used to be.
The politicians of the 21st century know no honor, making them some of the most reviled, disdained, and outright hated, people in the nation. After being involved in countless sex scandals and bribery schemes, no one is shocked when their given civil servant informs his or her constituency of their natural dimwittedness.
Senator Hiram Monserrate partakes in the same numbskull antics as his peers. His vicious demeanor garnered him the reputation of being a “hardliner” in his home state of New York.
That same vicious nature has landed the senator in serious legal trouble, as he now faces trial for the unconscionable assault on long time girlfriend, Karla Giraldo.
Purportedly angry because Giraldo was in possession of another man's cell phone and union card, prosecutors claim Monserrate savagely pummeled his girlfriend, slicing her lovely face with a shard of glass for good measure. Giraldo has attested to the claims.
According to hospital records, the laceration required 20 stitches around her eye.
Monserrate has formally entered a plea of not guilty in a befuddling move that will ensure that the senator will receive no leniency.
If found guilty of assault, Monserrate will lose his senate seat as well as serve a stiff prison sentence.
Here is a video of Senator Hiram Monserrate assaulting Karla Giraldo.

Cops Caught Playing Wii During Drug Bust
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009Two central Florida investigators are being launched into an investigation of their own after being caught playing Wii bowling during a nine hour drug raid.
Investigators were sent to the home of convicted drug dealer, Michael Difalco, in Lakeland, Florida to conduct a raid. During the raid the team hit gold! They found marijuana, meth amphetamines, weapons, drug paraphernalia, $30,000 in stolen property and the most precious find of all; a Wii connected to a big screen TV! Within 20 minutes of arriving on the scene, two of the officers can be seen playing Wii bowling and even jumping up and down after bowling a strike.
The asanine bowling session lasted over an hour. What the two dimwits didn't see was Difalco's wireless camera that captured the entire thing on tape. Unfortunately for Difalco the footage will not be used to his advantage to question the accuracy of the raid. It could be used however to show how stupid and foolish some people with a badge act when they think no one's watching.
Here's video from The Today Show showing the incident:

Racist Philly Swim Club Fined $50,000
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009The infamous Philadelphia swim club where Black and Hispanic children were forced to leave is seeing the harsh face of justice for their racist actions.
The administrative staff of the Valley Swim Club in Huntington, Pennsylvania is being ordered by The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission to pay monetary damages for humiliation and embarrassment and a whopping fine of $50,000. The Human Relations Commission also made sure to note that that none of the 155 members of the swim club this year were Black nor were any of the 179 members from last year. The swim club staff is appealing the action.
As previously reported, children in The Creative Steps Day Camp were brought to the facility after camp counselors paid more than $1,900 for them to swim there once a week. When the children arrived at the swim club they reported White children rushing out of the pool and whispers of parents asking why the Black and Hispanic children were there. Soon after, the camp's money was returned without warning and the children were not allowed to return.
The icing on the cake was when the President of the swim club, John Duesler, blatantly told reporters the children changed the “complexion” and “atmosphere” of the pool. Luckily for these children their poor treatment sparked national outrage and efforts were made to relieve the emotional distress they felt from the incident. The most noted effort was from none other than Tyler Perry, who sent the 7th and 8th grade students to Disney World in August.

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009Known as the golden era of Hip-Hop, the 90's was able to generate numerous acts that continued to leave fans clawing for more. Unfortunately for those of yesterday, the ear of the casual listener has changed over the years and that old sound just doesn't seem to pick up the reception that it once did. As Method Man and Redman returned with Blackout! 2, another memorable duo in the form of Black Star (more...)

News Conference Set For Arrested Brooklyn Tourists In Antigua
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009A news conference is set to take place today for six Brooklyn tourists that were arrested overseas. Rachel Henry, 27, Shoshannah Henry, 24, Dolores Lalanne, 25, Nancy Lalanne, 22, Joshua Jackson, 25, and Mike Pierre-Paul, 25 are on trial in Antigua and accused of assaulting police officers.
The incident happened on September 4 when the party of six and six of their friends left a carnival cruise ship docked on the island of Antigua. Upon exiting the vessel they negotiated with a cab driver to tour the island for $50 but argued with the man after he demanded double the amount. The cab driver drove the tourists to a police station where a fight between the group and police took place. The six say they were arrested and beaten by officers in uniforms and plain clothes. Of course Antiguan police tell a different story and claim that the overaggressive tourists started the fight even leaving one of the officers bitten.
Now nearly three weeks after the incident a news conference updating Americans on their status will take place today. The news conference will take place at Brooklyn Moon Café on Fulton Street in downtown Brooklyn. Community activist and unofficial spokesperson for the group, Kevin Powell is speaking out on their behalf. Powell claims that the Antiguan Judicial system is purposely taking their time with the case and told the NY Daily News:
"We think the court system is a bit of a mockery. It's being dragged out. They're hoping the young people surrender and say they're guilty and pay the fine."
If convicted, the tourists could face up to two years in jail and a $4,000 fine. Their trial resumes today at 2:30 p.m.
Rick Ross Robbed
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009Man, what a crazy world it has become. It seems like even the authorities are getting robbed, with the police backing their own, as Rick Ross was a victim of a robbery that saw the rapper losing $60,000 in jewelry and a laptop.
