There comes a time in everyone's life when he/she must take the time to step out of reality for a second, take a hard look in the mirror and reevaluate the direction his/her life is taking them.

In the case of Chance, from Real Chance of Love, the alleged rapper has set his crosshairs on 50 Cent. Reports have shown that the reality star had quite some words for the Queens rapper.

Black Wheelchair Bound Amputee Tasered By Police

Monday, September 21st, 2009

40-Year-old double leg amputee, Greg Williams, found himself an unwitting victim of police brutality, as the wheelchair bound man shockingly became a victim of police brutality.

Merced County Police Department of Merced County California has tasked their Internal Affairs Division with investigating the incident which saw two police officers, both white, taze the wheelchair-bound man.

Williams, who was recently released from jail, adamantly maintains that he was never aggressive toward the either of the arresting officers and that he did not resist arrest. Naturally the “official” account of things differs greatly from the story that Mr. Williams has given.

A police report from Merced P.D. reads that John Pinnegar and Sergeant Rodney Court attempted to reason with Williams before any action was taken. After subduing the 40-year-old man, both officers noted that Williams was uncooperative to their demands, also noting that he outright refused to relinquish his two year old daughter to Merced County Child Protective Services.

The most painful moments in the ordeal may have come after the actual pain subsided. Williams was allegedly left outside, handcuffed on the pavement, nude from the waist down. A video clip taken by a neighbor verifies his claims. He also maintains that his shoulder was injured in the arrest limiting mobility in his wheelchair.

Obama Says Paterson Should Bow Out of New York Governor's Race

Monday, September 21st, 2009

President Obama has asked New York Governor David Paterson to bow out of the 2010 gubernatorial race due to his increasing unpopularity.

Two senior administration officials and a New York democratic operative said that Obama sent the request behind speculations "that Mr. Paterson cannot recover from his dismal political standing." A Queens democrat Rep. Gregory W. Meeks delivered the message on behalf of the White House, reports the Huffington Post.

Paterson officially struck a chord with the president when he said in a radio interview last month that he and Obama are unjustly targeted by the media because they're black politicians.

If Paterson withdraws his bid for Governor, he would virtually be shooing in Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, whose father is a three term Governor, for the Democratic nomination. So far, 67 percent of New Yorkers believe he should run.

Despite Obama's pressures from the White House, Paterson said he is going to run in the 2010 election.

“I have said time and time again that I am running for governor next year,” Paterson said at a parade in Harlem. “My plans have not changed.”

Ahmadinejad Relishes in Upsetting Jewish People

Monday, September 21st, 2009

It is no secret that President of Iran has long denied the validity of the Holocaust. Despite photos, video footage and personal accounts of concentration and death camps, Mahamoud Ahmadinejad is proud that the West and Israeli Jews are outraged at his position.

In a report by IRNA released Monday, Ahmadinejad was quoted labeling Israelis as "professional man slayers" and angering and upsetting them and Jewish communities in the West is a source of "pride for us."

He made similar statements just last week questions whether the Holocaust was a "real event," and went on to insinuate it was a conspiracy to create the Israeli nation. His comments grew a firestorm of criticism and condemnation from the West, reports the New York Daily News.

While the Holocaust is recognized here in the U.S. as a mass genocide of European Jews, the Iranian president continues to question the legitimacy of WWII events with what seems to be clear intentions to upset a certain group of people. The Jews.

Black folks have been catching hell since their involuntarily arrival, and still struggle to get ahead while Jewish communities do quite fine for themselves and continue to thrive. So this is political entertainment for many. Hey, somebody has to be that guy ... lol :) .

Obama Says Racism is Not 'The Overriding Issue'

Monday, September 21st, 2009

In an interview with CNN on that aired Sunday the President of the United States does not believe the racism is "the overriding issue" of the savage debate on health care reform.

"Are there people out there who don't like me because of race? I'm sure there are. That's not the overriding issue here," Obama said.

The president's statements came just before a Sunday media blitz in which he appeared on five major talkshows.

Since former president Jimmy Carter's commentary on Anti-Obama demonstrators which he believes is fueled by racism and fear of an African American president running the country, Obama has been hesitant to acknowledge the issue of racism.

"Health care has become a proxy for a broader set of issues about how much government should be involved in our economy," Obama said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

"Even though we're having a passionate disagreement here, we can be civil with each other, and we can try to express ourselves acknowledging that we're all patriots, we're all Americans and not assume the absolute worst in people's motives."

"The outrage that we see in America has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with the policies that he is promoting," US Rep. John Boehner said.

Okay, so Obama refuses to admit that racism is at the center of the folks' sentiment when they march the streets toting guns, posters of Obama as witch doctor and Hitler and screaming accusations of him being a muslim not born of this nation.

Obama is quite smart, so of course, he knows that racism is still alive and well. But to prove that he above it, he won't acknowledge it and keep the political issues at the forefront of the discussion. Once again, a smart move to leave the race baiting to Sharpton, Jackson and the like.

Health care reform policy is, once again, the smokescreen to the racism that continues to plague many of our fellow countrymen. And as quiet as it's kept, Obama is doing the right thing by downplaying the bone of contention that many Americans share, otherwise he'll be slammed for "pulling the race card." He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. But folks need to fall back and let the man do his job.

Damon Dash Making A Comeback?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

After the demise of the relationship between himself and Jay-Z, it seemed as though Damon Dash had begun to fade into obscurity.

Selling his portion of Roc-A-Fella to Def Jam in 2004, he switched gears and tried to rebuild as he launched Dame Dash Music Group and was allegedly taking pieces of the old Roc with him to rebuild the dynasty that was destroyed.

After his BET reality show Ultimate Hustler seemed to fizzle, things for Dash looked to be on a downfall. Hey, anytime an artist has to resort to reality TV, let alone BET, there is clearly (more...)
