Van Jones Considered For Green Party Nomination

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Fresh off getting kicked to the curb on the sly, Van Jones, may be getting a new position. Obama's former Green job's advisor found himself under a barrage of political attacks after a video leaked of him stating the obvious and saying Republicans are “assholes” and Bush is a “crack head.”

Following the leaks, he found himself silenced saying what millions of people were thinking, and had to formally “resign.”  Now he's getting his past due and will reportedly be the Green Party's candidate for President in the 2012 election. The Green Party is sticking up for the brother and denouncing the Republican party for attacking Black politicians saying,

“The targets tend to be Black - consistent with Republican fury over the election of Barack Obama to the White House.”

As t the Green Party is jumping to the aid of this brother, and tightening him up to lead their party, Green Party co-chair, Mike Feinstein sang praises to the advocate for environmentally friendly jobs, saying:

“Like the Greens, Van Jones sees green jobs and a healthy environment as interconnected pillars of a sustainable and just economy.  We encourage Van to bring that agenda into the electoral arena as a Green Party member, leader and possible future candidate, either nationally, statewide in California, or locally in Oakland, his home.”

If Jones does get the nomination he can shut the mouths of people like everyone's favorite racist Fox News commentator, Glen Beck. Beck spearheaded the smear campaign against Jones digging up the old videos and also Jones' signature on a petition asking for further investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The petition reportedly questioned the government's role in the event, again another opinion reflective of many people's sentiments. Good for Jones, the brother deserves a break for all the political hell he went through for practicing free speech.

Proposed California Ban The “Natural Extension” To Prop 8

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

The battle over gay rights rages on in a huge way on the west coast, though admittedly, in something of an odd yet ingenious way. John Marquette, owner/proprietor of BadMouth.net and unlikely religious fighter, has introduced a highly controversial proposal to California's state legislature. In a move that is designed to show the hypocrisy over Proposition 8, the inflammatory addition to California's constitution that declares marriage can only be between a man and a woman, Marcotte has introduced the “California Protection of Marriage Act.”

Appearing on Californian's voting ballots next year, the move would make 99.9% of California's marriages legally impossible to get out of, except in cases involving minors or those whom are not mentally capable of knowing the repercussions and responsibilities involved in the union.

“Sometimes other people need to sacrifice in order to protect my idea about traditional marriage. It's just a fact of life. It's not about their soul-sucking sham of a marriage, it's about what we value as a society. We live in a divorce promiscuous society. It's on the television, it's in movies, the newspapers. It's even in our kids textbooks. I'm Catholic. In my religion, divorce is a sin. Completely impermissible,” exclaimed Marcotte while speaking on the “motivation” behind his proposed plan and of whether a man and woman should have the right to divorce if that is what they truly desire.

Here is the actual proposition sent to California's legislature:

Juelz Santana Questions Past Relationship With Cam'Ron

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Back in 2002, the Harlem based rap group known as The Diplomats was becoming an unstoppable force. With talented artists such as Cam'Ron, Juelz Santana, J.R. Former President Carter Believes Anti-Obama Rage Driven by Racism

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said he believes racism is the culprit of the unrest as it relates to the current U.S. President, Barack Obama.
During a demonstration in Washington organized by extreme conservative talk show hosts, Carter labeled what's taking place in American society today "abominable."
''I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity towards President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American,'' Mr Carter said.

''I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way. I've seen the rest of the country that shared the South's attitude towards minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans - and that racism inclination still exists.

''And I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of the belief among many white people, not just in the South but around the country, that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country.

''It's an abominable circumstance and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply.''

''This is not a partisan stunt,'' said James Clyburn, a leading African-American politician, whose district in South Carolina adjoins Mr Wilson's. ''I do not participate in partisan stunts, and I think every member here knows that.

''This is about the proper decorum that should take place on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.''

Barbara Lee, the head of the congressional black caucus, said that ''today is about the civility and decorum of the House.'' But she added that we ''can't sweep race under the rug; racism is still a factor and must be addressed.''

Why is everybody so up in arms about something that has part a part of American history since its inception. Unless folks have been living under a rock, racism has been a the fabric of our culture.

What is it going to take for Antil-Obama Americans to, first, admit their President is black and, second, grow to respect him?

Unfortunately, the people who have failed to acknowledge this reality are those who have been in power for centuries, except for lone Jimmy Carter. Thanks to Carter for speaking out against the racism he knows, having grown up in the South, he seems to understand that there is very thinly veiled racism lurking in this American nation. Hopefully this will entice others to admit the same.
