Woman Too High to Drive Puts 6-Year-Old Behind the Wheel

Friday, September 11th, 2009

The mother of a 6-year-old got too high to drive after she smoked "that stinky stuff" and asked her daughter to take the wheel.

The 30-year-old mother was arrested on Sunday after police noticed the child driving a Dodge Durango at South Fourth Avenue and Walnut Street.
"There were two white knuckles and a little head popping over the steering wheel," he said.

Allegedly the woman was laughing in the passenger seat when the police pulled the car over. She went on to tell the officer she was trying to teach her daughter how to drive.

"Mom made me drive because she was sleepy," the girl told police.

The police said the aunt asked the little girl if her mom had been smoking "that stinky stuff again" and she replied "yes."

The woman is being held in Chester County Prison on child endangerment, corruption of a minor and reckless endangerment charges.

Election Night Thugs Get Jail Time For Post Win Violence

Friday, September 11th, 2009

Joys over Barack Obama's ascendance from community organizer to the office of the Presidency were stifled in many areas, due largely in part to pervasively negative undertones that underscored his entire journey. As Obama supporters celebrated, many Americans lamented, opting for violence over understanding. Staten Island, New York is a known democratic haven, home to many Obama supporters; many of whom found themselves at the right place in the wrong time.

A federal judge has sentenced four men to serve several years in prison. Witness reports place Ralph Nicoletti, Brian Carranza, Bryan Garaventa, and Michael Contreras behind several racially motivated crimes in the suburban New York community on election night. In court, the men admitted to viciously beating a 17-year old Muslim teenager and assaulting a mentally disabled man. They also assaulted Ronald Forte, a white man whom just happened to be in the predominately Black neighborhood that the four men chose to terrorize. Legal defense for the men used their dysfunctional upbringing to justify their actions; a ploy which failed. Judge Carol Amon, whom presided over the case, stated,

“The fact that someone may have had a difficult childhood does little to explain and nothing to excuse the vicious crimes here.”

Nicoletti was sentenced to nine years with Carranza receiving 70 months. Garaventa and Contreras were sentenced to five years and 55 months for their part in the crime respectively.

Wilson Rasies $200K After Outburst ; Opponent Raises $750k

Friday, September 11th, 2009

One day and three apologies later, Republican Congressman Joe Wilson has raised "more than $200,000" as a result of his now-popularized "you lie" outburst, confirms a campaign aide.

The sudden burst of cash donations comes in response to his Web video in which he requested campaign cash to help support his crusade against the proposed health care reform and help him battle hid Democratic opponents.

"On these issues, I will not be muzzled, I will speak up and speak loudly against this risky plan," Wilson said in a YouTube video released Thursday evening. "The supporters of the government takeover of health care and the liberals who want to give health care to illegals are using my opposition as an excuse to distract from the critical questions being raised about this poorly conceived plan."
Wilson published spread the word of his video on his Twitter page and asked that his followers "please watch and pass on."

"[Democrats] want to silence anyone who speaks out against it," Wilson also says in the video. "They made it clear they want to defeat me and pass the plan. I need your help now. ... Contribute to my effort to defeat the proponents of government-run health care."

The congressman went on disperse a fundraising email, insisting he's confident "my voice is serving as the voice for Americans across the country who are tired of irresponsible government programs that have only worsened our situation."

In sharp contrast, Wilson's Democratic opponent Rob Miller has collected a reported $750,000 in response to the congressman's outburst during President Obama's address on healthcare reform.

Miller ran against WIlson for Congress last year in South Carolina and lost by 8 percentage points, making it MIllers smallest winning margin in five years.

The two will battle for a Congressional seat in next year's race.

Caster Semenya Reportedly A Hermaphrodite

Friday, September 11th, 2009

An Australian newspaper is reporting that South Africa sprinter, Caster Semenya, has both male and female parts. The Australian Daily Telegraph released a report today claiming that a source told them that gender tests prove she has internal testes and no womb or ovaries. The Telegraph reported the source as saying:

“There certainly is evidence Semenya is a hermaphrodite, but the trouble is the IAAF now have the whole ANC and the whole of South Africa on their backs.”

Upon hearing the about the report, South African minister Makhenkesi Stofile accused the International Association of Athletics Federations or IAAF, of leaking her gender test results to the media. An enraged Stofile expressed his frustration over the situation saying that the 18-year old's rights were being violated.

“It is very, very clear to us that Caster's human rights are not being respected at all. Neither Caster nor her family deserve this kind of humiliation. None of them has done anything wrong. This is as disgusting as it is unethical.”

When asked how South Africa would respond if the runner were no longer allowed to compete in races against women, Stofile said, “I think it will be the third world war. Such a decision would be totally unfair and unjust.”

Caster is now said to be in hiding.
