Gang life used to be a means to bring together Black men and form a type of Brotherhood. Although prejudged as something negative and only bringing trouble, the origination of the Bloods and the Crips wasn't based around violence, but more of an outlet to build family relations.

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009Continuing his long tradition of supporting the country's men and women in uniform, R&B superstar R. Kelly will be hosting a special Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday evening (Nov. 25) for 200 soldiers from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and other U.S. Army facilities in the Washington, D.C., area.
The feast will be held at Washington's Constitution Hall, where the multi-platinum-selling recording artist will be performing later in the evening as part of his multi-city "Ladies Make Some Noise!" tour. Following the dinner, the troops will attend the concert as Kelly's guests.

Timbaland Boots Chris Brown from New Album
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009While some have forgiven Chris Brown for his actions towards Rihanna and decided to embrace him again, others haven't been so easy to let the past go.
Producer Timbaland, who was originally slated to have Brown featured on his upcoming release Shock Value II, has now removed the singer completely from his album.
Initially the singer was set to provide his vocals to a song called “The One I Love”.

Black Colleges Receive Financial Boost From Beer Company
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009Historically Black Colleges need rejoice as alcohol giant MillerCoors has decided to adorn their hollowed educational halls with financial support.
In a philanthropic move, Coors Brewing Company has donated $1.3 million to the Thurgood Marshal College Fund, which has traditionally been an economic force on the HBCU scene.
“As the founding corporate sponsor, MillerCoors recognizes the importance of supporting the next generation of political leaders, entrepreneurs, and CEOs,” said Larry Waters, director of multicultural relations at Miller Coors.
All donated funds will go toward programmatic support, capacity-building, leadership development, and scholarship support at various colleges and universities.
Clever Crook Caught Eating Evidence (Video Included)
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009John H. Ford is a banker like none other.
The forceful money migrate manager was caught on camera eating what could be evidence after Ohio authorities nabbed him.
Suspected of robbing banks in Akron and Stow, Ohio, 35-year-old Ford was captured on camera during a heist handing a bank teller a piece of paper, presumably demanding money.
It was not until investigators the thief about the note did they observe footage from his arrest which was captured by an on-dash camera located inside the police cruiser.
Ford is currently being held at Portage County Jail and is currently unrepresented legally.
Law enforcement officials also recovered a bag of money with a bank dye pack and 38-caliber pistol within the suspects vehicle.
Lost Boy Spent 11 Days At Subway
Tuesday, November 24th, 2009No one is exactly certain how a mentally ill teenager managed to evade the long arm of the law but that was exactly the case in New York City.
For 11 days, a 13-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome eluded the juggernaut that is the NYPD, spending the entire time living in the city's subway system.
Police discovered Francisco Hernandez Jr. while he was taking refuge at Coney Island subway station.
The boy, whom said that he ran away out of fear of getting in trouble at school, rode the trains while living off of vending machine goodies and water.
In spite of the positive ending, the teens mother has found reason to complain.
Marisel Garcia is adamant that police searched less than diligently for her son, sighting the fact that she is a Mexican immigrant as the reason behind her claim, even though authorities posted fliers around a majority of the city and contacted the city.
14-Year-Old Alabama Girl May Have Arranged Gang Rape
Tuesday, November 24th, 2009Down in Alabama, a community is reeling after police report that a 14-year-old girl may have been the mastermind behind the gang rape of her classmate.
The unnamed minor told reporters that she and her friend arranged to have sex with three boys from their high school early last week, one of which was the minor's boyfriend.
Monroe County District Attorney Tom Chapman reports,
“The victim told police that the attack did begin as consensual contact but when all three suspects began to join in, she told them no repeatedly, but they did not stop."
The victim required surgery for her injuries and was in intensive care for three days.
Investigators said the two girls left Monroe County High School with Steven Scott, 20, DeShon Riley, 16, and Justin Williams, 17, before the start of classes the day of the attack. They then took turns assaulting the victim. The minor claimed to not have been raped but a medical examination determined that she had intercourse as well.
The men took the two girls back to school where the injured girl sat in bloody clothes for hours until school officials called police.
The three men are currently in jail for felony rape. Their bond is set at $500,000.
I can't keep writing about stories like this because it makes me so angry!!!!!
Where are the parents?! Where are the administrators that let this girl sit around for hours in bloody clothes before calling police?!
The fact that these idiots raped this girl and brought her back to school like nothing happened shows how sick and twisted these little boys are. Lock ‘em up for life! They deserve it!
And as far as the other girl...SMH….I have no words.
