HHWired Exclusive: Pill Speaks On New Deal With Asylum [Video]

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

"What I call it is a bunch of ni**as trying to show off to other rappers how much more money they got than them.

So it's like Ok, so you got more money than him, so what? What you talking about though? You ain't talking 'bout sh*t."

Atlanta's "Gangsta" Pill is a rare blend of the streets and consciousness in Hip-Hop.  Something that's long been missing from the music. With Asylum finally winning out, the street poet came through and kicked it with Hip-Hop Wired about his new label situation and the importance of staying real to yourself and pushing fictionalized gangsta fairy tales to the side.  A voice for the common man on the come-up now speaks.

HipHopWired:  Heard you just got signed, can you speak on that?

Pill: Yeah, just did a deal with Asylum.  I  got that sh*t taken care of so I can now bust these (more...)

Game Questions Purpose of School

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

“After you learned how to read & do addition, what else did we need school for that we use in everyday life as an adult?”

Before even getting into this story, let's all sit back and marinate on such a thought-provoking question.   I'm sure if we extracted the idea of subtraction and division and only embraced multiplication, dwindling funds would never be a problem, would it?  Out of mind, out of sight.

Whatever the case may be, while Game had some time away from his fourth album, The R.E.D. Album, the rapper reflected on and even questioned the relevance of the school system overall , over Twitter, once children become adults and enter the real world.

Cuz I swear I can't remember (more...)
