Kid Cudi Quitting Rap After Four Albums

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

There are some rappers that come into the game and feel that as long as people are hungry for the material, they will continue to supply the demand.  Others, however, have a clear path and once the work is done, they will move on.

Mr. Moonman Kid Cudi is one that was ready to retire from rap before his debut even dropped, but now the rapper states that it will only take three more albums to get his full message across and then his journey in music will be completed.

Just to keep track on the count, Cudi is preparing his sophomore debut, Cudder: The Revolution of Evolution, so that will leave two, maybe three, albums left in the tank before Cudi gives a curtain call for the last time.

Speaking on his decision with NY Mag, the rapper elaborated on how he plans to fully embrace his ability in acting and make the transition into a full time profession.

Chicago Teen Sues For $100 Mill, Claims Racist Arrest Killed Her Baby

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

A Chicago teen is taking local police to court for $100 million after she claims that excessive force during a racially charged arrest caused her to lose her unborn child.

Candice Williams, a former student at Crete-Monee High School, says a racist security guard at the school called the police on her after her track practice.

According to court papers filed Tuesday, the security guard called the girl the "n-word" and is accused of showing a black co-worker a paper replica of a Ku Klux Klan mask, saying it would "scare the bi**h.”

In April of 2008 Williams says the security guard called police because she did not want to wait outside for her ride even though she told her she was pregnant and anemic.

When officers arrived, they slammed the girl into the wall and then held her down on the ground with a knee in her back.

When she later visited the hospital her 9-week-old fetus did not have a heartbeat.

She is seeking $50 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages.
