Woman's Body Found In Hotel Bed Frame [Video]

A mother of five was found dead; after her body was discovered stuffed in a hotel room bed frame, where she and her children were staying.

Sony Millbrook was staying at a Budget Lodge in Mason, Tennessee with her boyfriend and children's father LaKeith Moody at the time of her reported disappearance.

Millbrook's family reported her missing when she did not show up to pick up her children from school on January 27th.

"On that day, the hotel locked the room out because of lack of payment," Major Joe Scott with the Memphis Police Department said.

The next day, the hotel staff put her belongings in storage and housekeeping cleaned the room.

For two months, Millbrook's body was under a bed in room 222 at the Budget Lodge on East Brooks Road and it was reported that a total of five guests stayed in the room before the body was found.

"Hotel staff reported to management there's something wrong in this room," said Scott, but it was obviously ignored.

At the time of Millbrook's disappearance, Moody was under order of protection to stay away from her.

Police state that after Millbrook's disappearance, Moody also was missing for a few week until he was arrested driving the missing mother's car.

"He had recently gotten out of jail and was staying with her at the Budget Lodge," Scott said.

After the arrest, police interrogated Moody and arrested him on an unrelated warrant of a convicted felon in possession of a gun.  At this point, Moody is only a person of interest in the case, but one of the last people to see Millbrook.

He is currently in jail in Mason, Tennessee.

This is so sad for the Lady and her family. The ordor should have been a clue that something was wrong.

that's good for her. she has an order of protection against him, he gets out of jail and he's staying with her at the hotel lodge. that's good for her!!!!

    to Vaughn & any other person who says she was stupid for dealing with the guy she had a restraining order against....the thing abouat this is ...that could have been your mother, like any other decent person she probably wanted her childrens father to see them period regardless if he paid child supoprt or what. what is wrong with you people...heartless...or just plain heart less!!!!!

People, Vaughn makes a totally valid point. Why the hell would you let someone stay with you when you have a restraining order against them? Yes, the comment was insensitive the way it was written, but it makes a good point. If someone is violent enough to get a restraining order against them, do not continue a relationship with them!
And Chui, how is that comment "real ignorant"? Like I said, it is insensitive, not ignorant. By the way, the grammatically correct response is "really ignorant." Also, which book would you recommend reading to cure ignorance?

Who in this day and age can claim to be unaware that women with children at the lower end of the economic scale are more likely to attempt reconciliation with abusive spouses repeatedly? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine that women at the lower end of the income scale do not have the resources to pursue effective marriage and relationship counseling that may lead to an actual reconciliation and the foundation of a healthy relationship. It's common knowledge that safe homes for woman and their children who wish to leave abusive relationships are hard to find. It's not surprising that these women feel they have no choice but to stay in a sick relationship. No place to live plus no income plus no way to feed and care for their kids plus no education plus no job skills doesn't add up to a feasible plan for escape.

Adding insult to injury we note that women who are conditioned to be victims of abuse dwell in a paternalistic nation that loudly proclaims equality exists when it does not. It's a fact that woman lack the opportunities that men have to better themselves and their families in America. It's a fact in this same nation that women who work at home are not valued as highly as women who work out of the home and parent too. It's a fact that working women have still not achieved equality with men doing similar work of equal value.

I believe we North Americans are aware that women of all income levels and education levels, who stay with abusive souses have usually been raised ( conditioned) in abusive homes. I believe we know without doubt that this conditioning is the result of systemic paternalism.

It's my opinion that those who label abused women who stay with their abusive partners as "ignorant" are more comfortable victimizing victims, than viewing their plight with comp*****ion. These deluded *****s produced by a paternalistic society, who *****ist in perpetuating the abuse cycle doesn't recognize that if you aren't part of the solution; you are part of the problem.

THis is just sad i feel bad for the kids *****ody desearves to go thruogh that no matter what, and to the pple who think this is okay and she should hav known i think if she would hav known he was gonna kill her shed still b here so shame on u karmas a *****
