HHWired Exclusive: Glasses Malone Ready to Battle Ice Cube

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

“On record, I don't have a problem with Ice Cube, but if Ice Cube tries to push me, I will chew his f**king head off.”

With the recent trend of subliminal dissing going on amongst rappers, Glasses Malone clearly has no problems with the direct approach and just saying names.

As Ice Cube has been taking jabs and lightweight downplaying the New West, Malone reflects on his own prior issues with Cube and would be more than willing to battle it out with the OG rapper.

An interview with HipHopWired revealed how Malone feels on Cube's recent shots and although he respects him, there's only so much a person can take.

“Honestly man, Ice Cube is recording songs for a pro (?), Ice Cube is on a promotional run.  I don't know, you know maybe some things I say he took offense to before, but like I said in the interview I did with AllHipHop.com, I don't go no disrespect for that dude, that dude molded my style.  I'm sure he read that too but he's constantly going on, there's only so long I'm just going to let somebody get out of line with it (more...)

Georgia Parents Upset Over T.I. School Appearance

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

While most people are happy to have the King Of the South back from his bid in prison, parents of teens at a Georgia middle school aren't too pleased that he was allowed to speak to their students.

Parents of students at Woodland Middle School were reportedly outraged that T.I. was allowed to speak to students without parental permission.

The rapper who was incarcerated for attempting to buy machine guns made an appearance at the school March 5 as a surprise to the children who he reportedly told to “study and work hard.”

When Waka Flocka Flame penned his street anthem “O Let's Do It”, the infectiously catchy song landed in the hands of Hip-Hop heavyweights like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Diddy.

Now the latest to jump on the track is none other than Lil Kim, who could very well be trying to revive her career after a series of new singles from the Queen Bee have surfaced online.

Listen to Lil Kim try her hand at Flocka's claim to fame.

I don't know about this one, everything ain't for everybody Kimmy.

Game Defends Shyne Dissing 50 Cent...What A Surprise

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Has anyone ever had that girlfriend/boyfriend that just wouldn't get over the past and continue to bring up, even years down the line?

With Shyne's recent attack on 50 Cent and Game attempting to deliver a knockout on “400 Bars”, it is evident that these two rappers still have some sort of fixation with the G-Unit general.

There's such an enormous amount of hate, one would think that 50 got their baby's mothers pregnant or something.  After awhile, the relentless dissing just sounds like a mosquito that keeps buzzing around a person's ear…annoying.

During an interview with VIBE, the leader of the G-Unot campaign spoke on Shyne's attack on his former labelmate.

“That's him man [with the beef], and I'm glad he can take that 50 Cent beef with him. I'm slowly (more...)

Store Clerk Awarded $258.8 Million

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

While people sit and complain about how horrible their lives are and continue to drag their feet in despair, an average man from Missouri shows that there's still hope.

Chris Shaw, 29, an everyday convenience store clerk recently won the Powerball jackpot and came forward on Thursday to claim his winnings of $258.5 million.

Purchasing the winning ticket on Wednesday from the store he works at, lottery officials are giving Shaw the option of receiving a lump around $125 million or gradually accumulate his funds within 30 installments.

Making the choice to take the lump sum will give the state $6 million in state income taxes.

It's always humorous how America works and the fact that a person can be gutted so heavily with taxation, even when they WIN something.

The store where he purchased the ticket, Break Time, will also get broken off a bit of bread as it will be the recipient of $50,000 for selling the ticket.

So there you have it folks.  When you're looking down that empty bottle of alcohol unaware of what's next, remember the face of Chris Shaw.  If he can hit the jackpot, it's almost certain that it's more than just a coincidence.
