Olympic Runner LaShawn Merritt Fails Drug Test, Penis Enlargement Pills Found In System

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

LaShawn Merritt, the Olympic runner who took home gold at the Beijing Olympics, has been suspended after testing positive for a banned substance found in penis enlargement pills.

Officials say the runner took ExtenZe, the “natural male enhancement pills”, that promise to increase a man's penis size and width.

According to a release from the runner's lawyer, the pills caused him to fail three consecutive tests from October 2009 to January 2010.

The substance in question is dehydroepiandrosterone or DHEA, a type of steroids precursor found in the pills.

23-year-old Merritt says he hopes sponsors, family, friends and fans can forgive him for making a “foolish, immature and egotistical mistake."

He also adds “Any penalty that I may receive for my action will not overshadow the embarrassment and humiliation that I feel inside."

The CEO of United States Track & Field, the governing body of the sport, has since spoken out against Merritt saying he is "disgusted by this entire episode."

He adds,

"He has now put his entire career under a cloud and in the process made himself the object of jokes. In this day and age, a professional athlete should know better."

SMH…how embarrassing.

Lauryn Hill Coming Out With New Album??

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Since Lauryn Hill dropped The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill back in 1998, Hip-Hop fans have been suffering from addiction, feigning for another stellar project from the singer/rapper.

With 12 years passing, however, the image of Hill has become somewhat distorted as more have become more concerned with her mental stability rather than her actual music.

A recent sighting of the former Fugee might have provided a glimpse of hope and a little assurance that she could be making her return in some form or fashion.

Keeping her word limited during a brief interview, Hill (more...)

Ex-Gov. Blagojevich Seeks Obama's Testimony At Trial

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

The ex-Governor of Illinois that came under fire for allegedly trying to sell President Obama's former Senate seat, is asking a Federal Judge to subpoena the President so he can testify at his trial and help clear his name.

Prosecutors for Rod Blagojevich filed a plea to subpoena President Obama as a witness for his June 3 trial.

The ousted governor's legal team believes that Obama's testimony would help because “only Blagojevich and Obama know the details that could prove the former governor's innocence.”

By providing that testimony in a courtroom, Blagojevich believes he can clear his name.

There are no allegations in the court papers of any wrongdoing by The President.

Mind you however that Blagojevich is the same man who said he was, quote: “Blacker than Obama.”

Blagojevich is charged with scheming to misuse his power as governor to fill a vacant U.S. Senate seat left by President Obama in 2008.

Prosecutors believe he not only tried to sell or trade The President's former seat but he also illegally pressured potential donors for campaign contributions.

The impeached Governor's brother, Robert Blagojevich is also charged with helping him.

A 2-year-old Chicago toddler died yesterday after being shot in the head while sitting in the car with her family.

Little Cynia Cole better known as “Co-Co”, succumbed to her injury Thursday after a gunman fired a single shot into the trunk of the family's vehicle.

Police believe the gunman, identified only as 21-year-old man with a record of guns and drugs, was aiming for the girl's father who they say had ties to a local gang.

Around 11 p.m. yesterday Co-co, her two younger sisters, father and mother stopped at a local residence on the Southside of Chicago so the mother could pick up cigarettes.

After the mother left the vehicle, the gunman appeared soon after and fired the fatal shot that traveled through the trunk into the back seat and into the child's head.

The girl was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

The gunman has since turned himself in.

An Illinois man showed city officials exactly how he felt about his recent parking ticket by wiping his behind with it and mailing it back stained with human feces.

Chicago Breaking News reports that 22-year-old Alexander J. Bailey of Medinah, Illinois was arrested last week and faces charges of disorderly conduct for the crime.

City officials report that they received a $15 parking ticket in the mail from him that had a foul odor and brown stains with a note indicating that he'd wiped himself with it.
