A federal judge in Mississippi is ordering a rural town to stop what states have been banned from doing for years, segregating their schools.
Schools in the state's Walthall County have been allowing Black students to be taught in Blacks-only classrooms and have allowed whites to transfer to predominantly white schools in the area.
Officials says white students were allowed to transfer from the Tylertown schools that are around 75 percent Black to the Salem Attendance Center which is 66 percent white commonly in Walthall County.
Senior Judge Tom S. Lee of the U.S. District Court of Southern Mississippi is enforcing the 1970 desegregation case against the state and Walthall County prohibiting such behavior.
In his ruling Tuesday, Judge Lee denounced school officials for allowing segregation saying,
“More than 55 years after Brown v. Board of Education, it is unacceptable for school districts to act in a way that encourages or tolerates the resegregation of public schools. We will take action so that school districts subject to federal desegregation orders comply with their obligation to eliminate vestiges of separate black and white schools.”
Just a few weeks ago, a North Carolina school board voted to allow segregation in their schools, allowing the school's bus line to be divided so that Blacks and Hispanics were isolated to lower performing schools.
“Weaver actually saw him splat,” Matt Palmer said. “I felt kind of sick to my stomach…It's hard to see something like that and hard to take it.”
Many people say what they would do in critical situations, but most actually haven't undergone such scenarios, making their statement stand as false until the moment presents itself.
For players of the Los Angeles Angels, pitchers Jared Weaver and Matt Palmer would have never expected that something as simple as crossing the street could turn into witnessing a suicide.
A 39-year-old man made a leap to his death from the 42nd floor of Le Parker Meridien, in New York. It is reported that the man might have been a former employee of the hotel.
While Palmer was able to briefly speak on the traumatizing event, Weaver was unable to even discuss what he had witnessed.
“It's obviously traumatic when you witness something like that, but these guys understand the privilege of playing baseball,” said Angels manager Mike Scioscia.

One man's trash is another man's treasure and, apparently, DJ Khaled felt it necessary to let go of some material from his latest album Victory.
How's that album doing anyway on the fourth go?
According to sources, J. Cole had actually worked on the album and produced this cut for Khaled, but for some reason it was left out of the mix on the cutting room floor.
Well, it seems everyone was duped last Friday as fans steadily waited for the rumored track from Dr. Dre and Jay-Z to drop.
Fortunately, there may be another opportunity presenting itself as Jay-Z has been tapped as a name that will perform at the Coachella Festival, a three day event taking place in California. There are rumors that Jay will bring out Dre and they will premiere “Under Pressure” from Detox.
Going from the track record of Dre, however, don't hold your breath.

A Minnesota man is behind bars after police say he assaulted his girlfriend with no arms and no legs claiming that he was acting in self defense.
Jacoby Laquan Smith was arrested for hitting his girlfriend Tiesha Bell 10 times in the face. Police originally said that Smith assaulted Bell because she was “blocking his view of the television” but the man tells a different story.
Smith says his girlfriend became violent toward him after he accused of her cheating.
He claims that she threw a bedpan full of urine at him and kicked him in the groin.
He tells the Pioneer Press that although she lost her limbs due to a childhood illness she often would use physical force against him.
“She'll swing, push me down and choke me with her nubs.”
He also says that sometimes she would hit him with her wheelchair.
Smith faces a fifth-degree assault charge and a charge of interfering with a 911 call for blocking the woman's path to a telephone when she tried to call police.
