Wednesday, April 28th, 2010Jails across the country are taking a new approach to keeping their inmates happy and well fed, offering them a variety of new food choices from a “Pizza and Hot Wing Party Pack” to meatball subs and nachos.
The Wall Street Journal uncovered the initiative started by food service company Aramark Corp.
Aramark started supplying the jails with the food options in 2006 and their services have grown in popularity since then.
Inmates or their relatives can order food online through the company's website. The WSJ reports that prices range from $7 to $12 for a hot meal and $20 to $100 for a junk-food box filled with beef jerky, iced cookies, vanilla cappuccino or other goodies.
The Indiana State Prison says it's on track to make more than $2 million from the food program while Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Texas says its revenue could reach $500,000.
At the Sebastian County Jail in Arkansas inmate Juan Kennedy tells the Wall Street Journal that he knows the special food is a privilege.
He says his sister's spent close to $1,000 ordering him junk food including his prized “Meaty Big n Beefy box” with spicy sausage and cheese.
“Sometimes it feels like it's not even jail. Jail's supposed to be water and bread."

With The R.E.D. Album approaching fast, the rapper let's go of the first official single with the assist from Justin Timberlake and teaming up with Pharrell once again.

GZA Creating Sequel with “Liquid Swords 2”
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010The blame can only be placed on Raekwon as New York is pushing this trend of creating the sequel.
Rappers that were part of the golden era are introducing themselves to the new generation by revisiting their classics.
With the help of producer RZA, GZA the Genius is going back to 1995 and returning to 2010 with Liquid Swords 2.
Slated to be released in the Fall, the Clan's producer made the announcement over Twitter and added that he will man the boards.

Morehouse Students Claim 911 Hung Up On Them After Being Robbed, Carjacked [Video]
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010Four students at Morehouse College are making headlines after claiming that 911 hung up on them when they called pleading for help after being robbed and carjacked.
The carjacking took place Sunday at a gas station near Atlanta's Atlanta University Center.
The Atlanta police department has audio of the phone calls and refutes the student's claims that they were unresponsive.
APD says they answered four phone calls from one of the students but could not understand what the victim was saying. They also say that the caller hung up the phone himself after being placed on hold for 30 seconds.
The man who made the phone call was in the trunk of the car with another person while two of his friends were forced to the backseat.
The four men spoke to reporters Tuesday telling them that they called Morehouse campus police to save them and believe without their help they would've been killed.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the crime, 17-year-old Jevontay Fleetwood and a juvenile.

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010ATLien and half of legendary group Outkast, Big Boi, decided to give fans a look into the road he travelled to become part of one of the most legendary groups in the game.
In part one of the video series “The Road to Sir Lucious Left Foot" (Frazier Homes)”, Big Boi allows fans to see the projects that he grew up in, while explaining the sentimental value of his home turf Frazier Homes.
“If you look behind me this is the building that I grew up in,” Big Boi said, “This is one of the only places that I remember my mother and father lived together in the same house.”
Big Boi states that he plans to show the fans the exact road he traveled to become Sir Lucious Left Foot. Enough of what we have to say, peep the video:
