Brandy & Ray J's Brother Takes DNA To Test To Prove His Legitimacy... Did Papa Norwood Show Up??? [Video]

Brandy and Ray J's illegitimate brother Danyelle "C-Dove" Brown took his DNA test this weekend to prove once and for all that Big Willie Norwood is indeed his father.

Brandy and Ray J's mother Sonja has already made her feelings known that she doesn't acknowledge him although Ray has met his big brother before.

According to C-Dove's Myspace page, he was born May 6, 1975, at University of Chicago, Lying In Hospital Chicago, Illinois, to his mother Lynetta Brown and his father Willie Ray Norwood Jr. both parents were raised in, and, are from Greenwood, Mississippi. He is the only child that his mother has.

As previously reported, C-Dove asked his father to take the test as well but did he show up. Watch and see if Willie Norwood Sr. stepped up to the plate and acknowledges his possible first born.

    Willie Norwood, Sr. should have provided a sample of his DNA. Even if it turned out that he is this young man's $perm donor, or not . If he is a match, he needs to be a daddy to this young man...it's never too late to ask for forgiveness. At least there would be closure for all parties involved.

Since when did deadbeat fathers become great? You gotz to be related to them or you're willie himself....a deadbeat father is a great person...WOW..and you're probably a female...which makes it worse because if you were the one abandoned by this...umm, 1/2 a man...you wouldn't be posting comments like this.     It's not about growing up. This MAN has a right to know who his father is. He has a right to know the man that contributed to his life. He has a right to know if cancer, diabetes, stroke, heart disease or any other medical condition runs in his family. The BAMMA that said "Grow Up" obviously isn't an adult. See when adults make discussions-there are consequences. The fair and just thing to do is step up to the plate. I understand that Sonja doesn't want to accept this but if it is the case than as Christians and the right thing to do is acknowledge this man if he is his son and move on to a brighter day.

    Seriously, though, who would show up to that circus? Cameras, random people you don't know. Willie Norwood has a lot at stake, and of course, he's going to be cautious about showing up in an unknown situation. It's unfortunate that this man is searching so desperately for his father, and that he cannot get a conclusive answer about whether or not Willie Norwood is his dad. There are two sides to every story, and no one should jump to conclusions because this is only one side. I know dude is hurting and means well, but this whole situation could be handled better. You can't MAKE someone be a parent. This man is GROWN now. He can't make another grown man have a relationship with him if he doesn't want one. He needs to move on, and devote his energy to his own kids. It doesn't get any easier knowing who your dad is, and knowing he STILL doesn't want a relationship with you. He says this isn't about money, so let it go, and just focus on being a good, HEALTHY daddy to your own babies.

He should've thought about that before making the decision to skip town. 2nd Willie wouldn't have been in an unknown situation...Dove made it clear where he was going to be, even gave out his number...but he didn't call his son to deal with this situation that HE created. This isn't Dove's 1st time trying to reach out to his father...Willie knows this. Why do you think they all have been so silent about it? You women should be giving Willie hell, not giving it to C-Dove. He's not focused on the past, you see Willie is his father presently....and will be tomorrow if the Lord allows them both to see another day. And you mentioned embar*****ing Willie?     It's funny how they had the same story line on Moesha where her dad on the show ended up having a child by someone else. (and that child happened to be ray j's character).

    Anyway, this man deserves to know who is family is whether they claim him or not.

    Danisha----If this was a female I think you would believe differently. Ever child has the right to know who their parents are POINT BLANK PERIOD!!! You find out a lot of things about your upbringing and your health history with this information. If Mr. Willie was such a great person....how come he didn't show up and prove things right or wrong...like a real man should???? Just a thought!

    I don't condone what Mr. Norwood has done in terms of abandoning his possible child. This is something that should've been resolved many years ago.

    However - The way this "c-dove" has went about getting answers is ridiculous to say the least. From the looks of the place he expected Mr. Norwood to show up to, I don't blame him for not showing up at all. Like someone else this was a complete circus show. C-Dove looks and acts as though he's a ghetto hoodlum. I was so disappointed the second he opend his MOUTH. Both Willie and "c-dove" mother are responsible for the charade.

    The previous comment is trifling and shows lack in character. I have no tides to this situation. I don't care if he is a 75 yrs. old male, he still has a right (Period). You say that this is a circus the reality shows of today are just that circuses, so why is it so horrible that this man put him on front street…..his own children display their lives for all of America? So the mere fact that he has elected to do so shouldn't surprise you. This man may need closure. You are right there are exactly 2 sides to every story and I guarantee you were not there the night of conception. If someone accused you of committing a false act and deformation of character and it was posted all over the internet, once again, you would defend your name. People just do not withhold information if there is nothing to hide. So again, this man has the right. I am not saying he is guilty because in America he is innocent until proven guilty.     This is so stupid! Did he really need an interview to take a DNA test? I don't blame Willie Norwood for not coming. He knew that this mess would be mad GHETTO. This man that claims he is Norwood son came to some drive thru DNA testing place and thought that Norwood would show up to something like that. I mean use your head silly. This was no hospital or nothing that even looked like it was worth coming too. I hope he finds his daddy but really if the man hasn't taken any interest in him by now it's not likely to happen. Poor Guy.

      WTH? Is this some kind of check cashing/std clinic? It is obvious that this young man needs answers so that he may find peace. However, his approach to acquire these answers was all wrong. We know that the Norwood family is famous for many things including sweeping touchy subjects under the rug and away from media attention which should have been "C-Dove's" first clue to handle this situation behind the scenes, perhaps at a private doctors office; *****uming that it is only the truth that he is seeking of course. Unfortunately for "C-Dove," once Sonja gets a glimpse of this ghetto a** video, he can kill all hopes of any type of reconciliation with Willie because even I felt embarr*****ed watching this ghetto tragedy. Your just not Hollywood enough kid.

    @darealwifey I agree with everything you said completely... Who would show up to this random test in an unknown place. You have to be very careful these days... and if this guy isnt seeking attention he should just move on and take care of his own family and just pray about it. Having cameras show up just wasnt the route to go. Its all very suspect and seems to be set up for the cameras.

    Whether Willie Norwood wants to admit it or not, C-Dove is his son. I went to C-Dove's my*****e and saw the pics and he and Ray J look just alike. Its a shame that C-Dove has to go to these lengths to prove who his father is...had C-Dove been a 10 year old boy, everybody would have been on Willie Norwood's a**. I know what this is like, and regardless of your age, you want to know who your parents are...I know who my mom and dad are but my dad is not on paper....My brother knows I'm his sister and my aunts/uncles and grandfather on my dad's side know I'm my father's child. My father is not here for me to have a DNA test but if he was I would still seek to have a DNA test at 40....What does Sonja have to lose at this point, the woman he was with was before her and guess what, should Willie die today (God forbid) then guess what, he can get a lawyer to have a DNA test and prove that he is an heir to this man and there is nothing no one can say about it. I'd rather do it now and get it over with rather than wait til a moment like death to really have the entire world in your business and then having to do a DNA on a corpse...harsh but reality..they like reality now they have it so deal with

    Seriously... Can we positively say this is his son? NO! Not defending either way, but damn. Can we find out before we decide Mr. Norwood ain't crap. I have seen many times where "yup he/she looks just like him. I know that's his baby" turn into "Damn, I thought. I ain't sleep with *****ody else". With rumors now a days going on, we can't be sure what to think. I will say this, if it's not true take the test.

    Sonja is a very interesting lady. That's my nice version of her. I will leave it at that.

    As for C-Dove, man get the hell over it. If the man wanted you in his life he would have you there. You have children to worry about. Focus on them and tell your "alleged" father to kiss your A$$. Keep grindin' and do your own. Make a name for yourself. Stop trying to come up on a come up and slap them in the face with your on success story. That's the ultimate revenge.

    The get over it factor blows my mind. If Mr. Norwood is indeed the father of this man than he should by all means be held accountable. I am amazed that in the world we live in there are so many cold hearted and selfless individuals . True in deed maybe this was not the correct forum to announce this, however he is crying out for help. He HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW IF WILLIE NORWOOD IS HIS FATHER. This is not about Sonja, Ray or Brandy it's about Mr. Norwood (PERIOD). If Sonja or anyone else cannot come to grips that this may be a possiblility than that is for them to deal with. This makes me extreamly sad that we have women saying "Oh it's the woman's falut", "He is grown" or "Get Over it". Have personal intergrity and realize that even GOD says never to deny your child. I am absolutley positive that this will not be the end of this discussion.

    Every one should know their family, and it's time our black male seeds stop running from our responsibility, if anyone knows how it feel to be betray by their father or mother, it's a lonely feeling not being accepted by your own parents. Even we as men want to have a relationship with our father, sister, and brother, I hope that Brandy, Ray- j accept their brother with great love, and Mr. Norwood if you are the father, be the man and step up to the plate and accept your responsibility, and greet your son whom you left alone to grow up without any support, how do you know that their may have been many day that he may have needed to call his daddy for help, support, or just to hear him say son I love you, may God convict you into surrender the truth and a happy ended will come out of this.

    Not sure what to think...if my deadbeat dad was on TV being a great father to his other children, I would probably put it out there as well. I'm not sure if money is the motive, but if he believes that's his father and Sonja is publically denying it, can you blame him? Not that it's right or wrong, but it's human...stop judging people! I do agree this is a personal family matter, but you're not a man if you can't publically clam ALL of your children. If he's not his son, then he owes the Norwoods an apology.
