City Council Members Start Brawl After Barring Man From Speaking On Raw Sewage Backup In Local Housing Projects [Video]

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

A former city employee got into an altercation with fellow councilmen after being told that his time was up.

According to Connecticut's WVIT News, Cecil Young, a frequent attendee to the monthly council meetings, was complaining about raw sewage in the basements of some local housing projects, and also spoke about health benefits he feels the city owes him.

But after running a little too long, City Council President Thomas McCarthy told Young he was out of time to speak and that's when the situation went south.

According to video, which  captured City Councilor E. Evette Brantley walking up to Young, as they get into an in-your-face spat and also shows Councilman Angel M. DePara Jr. approaching and pushing Young away from Brantley.

Then, other council members break up the scuffle and restrain Young as he is escorted out.

Although Brantley apologized, The Post reports that Young has filed an assault complaint against DePara and Bridgeport police are investigating.

"I was so spellbound -- I didn't know whether I got hit by a bull or a wave," Young told the Post on Wednesday. "All of 'em wrapped up on me like I was some kind of damn criminal. I did not deserve that disrespect. I'm going to give them a chance ... to tell me they were wrong. But if they do not come forward, shame on them. I'll see them in court."

After the altercation, Young states that he had to visit the local hospital due to injuries to his back that he sustained during the altercation.

Young is demanding an apology and will seek a doctor's advice about his back condition.

Let's cut to the B.S.  Now I'm not one to condone violence on a child but sometimes a good whipping will set you straight.

Sherri Lynn Davis has made headlines over the past few weeks for beating down her 13-year old student Isaiah Johnson after he felt the need to bully and make fun of a special needs child.  (How lame Isaiah)

In reality this woman probably saved his life as she rendered her own version of “Scared Straight.”  Bad A** Isaiah obviously wasn't in that school for doing his work and sitting down and paying attention to (more...)

Man Who Steals And Crashes Plane To Pay Just $40

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

A homeless man in Fredrick, Maryland, decided that one day he was going to steal a single-engine airplane at a Maryland airport.

When he did steal the plane, he then failed to execute flight and crashed the plane, as well as causing $12,000 in damage.

However, he will only pay a compensation of $40.

When Frederick County circuit judge G. Edward Dwyer Jr. heard of this incident, he said the same thing most of us are thinking.

"Only $40"

Prosecutors explained, that the insurance has paid for all of the damages from the crash, and all is left is a $40 deductible. The fifty-one year old homeless man Calvin Cox, told the court room that he stole the plane because he was homeless and cold.

He is currently half way through serving his 9 month prison sentence for the theft that took place in December.

At sentencing in April, Dwyer authorized work release for Cox so he could earn money to pay restitution to the plane's owner, Mid Atlantic Soaring Associates Corp.

Hey I know what you are thinking, $40 may not be a lot to you but do you know how many cans you have to sell to get $40?
