Woman Beaten To Death With Vodka Bottle For Urinating on Couch

Monday, June 28th, 2010

In response for having her furniture soiled, a woman beats another to death with the use of a bottle.

Suliana Tonga, 31, is accused of killing Jennifer L. McGinty, 54, after striking her in the head eight to 10 times with almost a full gallon of Vodka.

Reports are saying that the act was set off after McGinty allegedly urinated and defecated on her couch.  After asking if she would purchase a new couch and being denied, Tonga then began to swing the bottle, according to a witness.

Following the assault, McGinty agreed to replace the furniture, but soon her body fell stiff and cold with a black eye and bruised chin.

She was pronounced dead on the scene by the time authorities arrived.

McGinty's cause of dead was "blunt force injuries of the head" according to medical examiners.

Tonga has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Lil Wayne Tour Dates

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Promoters of a Lil Wayne concert that was canceled three times in 2008 are facing lawsuits.
According to Courthouse News Service, a group of unnamed investors are taking Edward Strickland, Andre Langston and RMF Productions to court for their part in the cancellation of the confirmed show.

The investors filed papers in Rochester, New York saying they paid the concert promoters $180,000 for the show.

Lil Wayne is not a party in this lawsuit but was connected to a lawsuit filed last year by the same promotion company being sued today.

Edward Strickland, the general manager of RMF Productions, filed a lawsuit against Wayne and his manager Cortez Bryant in February of 2009 for canceling the concert.

In the $1.3 million dollar lawsuit the promoter claims he gave Wayne $100,000 in advance money for the concert that never took place.

Weezy was originally scheduled to perform on October 26, 2008 at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester but reportedly cancelled because he was unhappy with the sound system.

Following that he was set to make up the missed date on December 6, 2008 but canceled again, this time because he had to rehearse for his “I Am Music” tour.

The final make up date was set for January 21, 2009 but he pulled out again and reportedly blamed “the logistics of his band.”

Weezy never made up the concert to disgruntled fans.

Atlanta has bred some of the most popular and talented artists in the Hip-Hop and R&B industry. So when Hot 107.9 put on their 15th annual Birthday Bash, there was no surprise of the raw talent and spectacular show that was put on stage for thousands of ATLiens to see.

Some of the highlights of the show included a robe wearing Plies with seven of his bodyguards on stage dancing. (Very goon-like indeed) However, it was when Plies brought out Jeezy to perform their new hit single “Lose My Mind,” that everyone in the arena stood up and sang a long word for word.

Acts like Rick Ross and Ludacris had many of the good looking women in the audience up and dancing while classic ATL rappers such as Pastor Troy had the fellas getting crunk and out their chairs.
