Snoop Dogg is the latest in Hip-Hop to have his name brought up in court for a lawsuit.

As previously reported the Playboy empire filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Drake for a sample used in his hit “Best I Ever Had.”

Following suit is Michael Henderson , a jazz bassist known for his work with Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder, who claims that Snoop Dogg illegally sampled his music for several tracks available for stream and download.

According to the lawsuit, Snoop illegally used a sample of his work for the track “Hands On The Wheel”, a song he did with Hip-Hop group Warzone for a mixtape to promote his 2008 release Ego Trippin.

Furthermore Henderson says Snoop and Warzone illegally sampled his music for their song “Flashbacks”, taking the composition from his song “Riding” which he released on his 1979 album Do It All.

The bassist turned artist is suing for copyright infringement, unfair competition and unjust enrichment.
