Black Teen Attacks White Man For Listening To Rap Music

A Black Florida teen is possibly facing hate crime charges for attacking a white man.

The teenager's actions were sparked because he heard the 22-year-old white man listening to rap music.

The victim was walking down a street listening to rap music, when the teen then told the victim to stop listening to rap music because "white people shouldn't listen to rap music."

He then struck the victim in the face.  The 14 year old was taken into custody on Monday and charged with battery.

Yvonne Martinez, a police spokesperson- says the teen could face a hate-crime enhancement charge because he showed "extreme prejudice against the victim because of his race."  The state attorney's office will review the charges while the teen is being held in the juvenile detention center.
