It didn't surprise me when the late C. Delores Tucker and a bevy of Christian leaders mounted a campaign against gangster rap in the mid 1990's. Gangster rap was ascending on the music charts just as the genre's sexually explicit and violent lyrics were deteriorating hip-hop culture.
Not much has changed in the black church since the 1990's.
The latest evangelist to pick up the torch and pitchfork is Reverend Ron Allen of the International Faith Based Coalition in California. Goodie M.O.b member Kuhjo Goodie has apparently beat a case that would have cost him 2 years in the joint.
Although details about the legal issue(s) were not readily available, Big Boi announced to fans that rapper would be able to enjoy his freedom.
“Khujo Goodie Will be FREE Today thanks to Daniel Cane, the D.F. And Jesus,” Big Boi said. “GIVE THANKS! We just got khujo out of jail. They can't stop what GOD HAS planned. MIGHTY DF. The FOUR HORSEMEN RIDE AGAIN.”

We previously reported that rapper Ice-T was arrested earlier this morning . He has now responded to the arrest, claiming that media outlets made the incident national news, while he felt it was a petty incident.
He also took to his Twitter to express his feelings (and badge number) for the officer that arrested him, and explained the altercation that took place:

Flyod Mayweather's camp has denied that negotiations for a Manny Pacquiao fight have ever taken place.
According to Leonard Ellerbe, one of Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s closest advisers, negotiations for a super fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao had never existed.
However, this is contrary to what Manny Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum said for the past three weeks, and it seems that he is not changing his story as well.

Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade appeared on Jay Leno July 19th to discuss his plans for the newly created “Super Team.”
In the candid interview Wade discusses growing up in Chicago and he was initially in love with two sports.
“I have always had a love for basketball,” Wade said. “I also have a love for football, but when it came down to all of the work and training that goes into it, it's not for me. [laughs]”
In addition to talking about sports, Wade also revealed that he had a secret passion for rhyming.

A Nigerian couple in London have defied genetics, and astounded researchers by giving birth to a blond, blue-eyed baby.
Baby Nmachi Ihegboro was born at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup, Kent. At first it was believed that baby Nmachi was an albino, but doctors ruled out that possibility.
Neither of the parents have any mixed race family history, which is why the case is rare.

B.O.B. is continuing his rise to fame after the #1 debut of his B.O.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray album and announcing his first ever headlining tour.
Bobby Ray, whose single “Airplanes” is currently #1 in Britain, will travel from July to November on worldwide tour dates.
The tour will take Ray from Tokyo to his hometown of Atlanta before wrapping up November 14 in Ithaca, New York.

Lil Wayne recently wrote from his prison cell a letter explaining his thoughts on Lebron James' move to Miami.
With lyrics and ESPN interviews proving his love for sports, it was no surprise that Wayne had something to say about the situation. Wayne wrote on his blog about the move:

Perdue Farms is recalling over 90,000 pounds of chicken nuggets now that the company believes the food could contain hazardous materials.
The chicken producers issued the recall today for 91,872 pounds of “Great Value” chicken nuggets available at Walmart stores nationwide.
The company says the nuggets which are in 50,688 packages in total could contain pieces of plastic because a small blue plastic ring got into the raw material before the nuggets were formed.
The possibly contaminated chicken has a "best if used by date" of June 9, 2011 and on the back of the packages are the numbers 89008A, 0160 and P-33944.
Customers can take the nuggets back to Wal-mart for a full refund.
