Wesley Snipes To Serve 3 Years For Tax Evasion Charges

Looks like Nino Brown is going to jail after all as actor Wesley Snipes lost his appeal against a three-year prison sentence on federal tax charges.
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta ruled that the judge properly sentenced Snipes.

The Dream Responds To Affair Allegations, States He “Fell Out of Love” With Christina Milan
Friday, July 16th, 2010R&B singer The Dream has finally decided to open up about what led to his pending divorce from Christina Milian.
According to The Dream via his letter, the pictures of his alleged affair is not what caused the separation, but that there were marital problems going on for a while.
“I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay,” The Dream wrote. “We knew problems existed for a while!”

Texas Police Slam Teenager Into Hood Of Cop Car [Video]
Friday, July 16th, 2010Police in Paris, Texas are under investigation for the use of excessive force after an officer slammed a teenager on the hood of his patroller and it was caught on tape.
18-year-old Cornelius Gill was slammed into the hood of an officer's car after being arrested for disorderly conduct.

Texas Man Claiming To Be African Prince And Doctor Sentenced After Knowingly Spreading HIV
Friday, July 16th, 2010A Texas man has pleaded guilty after facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, only his weapon was his penis.
Nathaniel Tumbwe was sentenced to 15-years after prosecutors say he knowingly had unprotected sex with two women and withholding the fact that he was suffering from HIV.

Teaparty Spokesman Mocks NAACP, Calls Them “Coloreds" Who Want Slavery Back
Friday, July 16th, 2010Teaparty Express spokesman Mark Williams is continuing to make headlines for his comments about the NAACP.
As previously reported Williams appeared on CNN's “The Situation Room: With Wolf Blitzer” and told journalist Roland Martin that the NAACP was racist and trying to benefit off of skin color.
His response came after the The National Association For The Advancement of Colored People adopted a resolution condemning the tea party's “racist elements” and asked the party's leaders to repudiate the bigotry in the group.
The spokesman for the party is speaking out again, this time through a “satirical” letter to President Abraham Lincoln.
Williams writes under the name “Ben Jealous”, the nephew of Uncle Tom from Uncle Tom's Cabin and “head colored person” from the NAACP, and tells the President that we[coloreds] don't' “cotton” to “that whole emancipation thing.”
The letter includes a line where Ben Jealous says that we [coloreds] had a “great gig” with three squares, room and board and all our decisions “made by the massa in the house.”
Ben also asks that Lincoln repeal the 13th and 14th amendment and let us “get back to where we belong.”

"Dear Mr. Lincoln
We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!
In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement'.
Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?
Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Actress Vonetta McGee Dead At 65
Friday, July 16th, 2010Famed actress Vonetta McGee has died at the age of 65.
The woman known for her roles in Blaxploitation films such as “Blacula,” “Hammer” and “Shaft in Africa", died July 9th in Berkley, California.
Reps for McGee confirm that she died of cardiac arrest after being on life support for two days.
She also starred alongside Clint Eastwood in "The Eiger Sanction” and had roles in the "The Lost Man," "Detroit 9000," "Brothers," "Repo Man" and "To Sleep With Anger.”
She is survived by her husband, mother, son, three brothers and a sister.
