Ne-Yo Says He Wore Hats To Hide Hair Loss

Ne-Yo is speaking candidly on his trademark collection of hats.

According to the R&B singer his family has a history of thinning hair that often would get him teased as a child so he began to wear hats to hide his hair loss.

Now however the singer/songwriter says that his signature garb has become a part of his normal routine and he's no longer ashamed of his look.

Men Who Beat Man To Death For Being Gay Get 37 Years In Prison

Two New York men that confessed to killing a man with a baseball bat for being gay have been sentenced to prison.

30-year-old Keith Phoenix admitted to police that he killed 31-year-old José O. Sucuzhañay, an Ecuadorean immigrant, after seeing him out with his brother and suspecting that they were a couple.

Along with Phoenix, jurors convicted 27-year-old Hakim Scott, who joined him in taunting the men with antigay slurs before jumping out of an SUV and attacking them.

According to the prosecution Jose and his brother Romel Sucuzhañay were walking home arm in arm after leaving a church party and stopping at a local bar when they were spotted by Phoenix and Scott at a traffic light.

The defendants hurled slurs at the brothers, who were also accompanied by José‘s girlfriend ,and one of the brothers reportedly kicked Phoenix's sport utility vehicle.

Police say a then enraged Hakim Scott jumped out of the car and broke a beer bottle over José‘s head before chasing after his brother Romel with the broken glass.

While Jose lay on the ground, Phoenix admitted to grabbing an aluminum baseball bat out of his trunk and beating the man.

During his confession to police Phoenix was quoted saying,

“So I killed someone — that makes me a bad guy?”

Keith Phoenix was sentenced to 37 years to life for murder and assault while Hakim Scott was convicted 37 for of manslaughter and assault.

Washington D.C. To Offer Lower Priced Medical Marijuana For The Poor

Washington D.C. is making a pivotal move and adding a provision to its medical marijuana law allowing the drug to be sold at  a lower price to the poor.

As previously reported the nation's capital made a pivotal move in May by passing a unanimous decision to legalize the drug for medicinal purposes.

Now with the new law set to be enforced in 2011, the new medical marijuana act will require the substance to be available to all patients regardless of socioeconomic status.

D.C. is the only location with legalized marijuana that allows lower pricing for the poor and reportedly has the highest percentage of marijuana use in the country.

Producers Cool And Dre Join Cash Money Records

Famed Hip-Hop production duo Cool and Dre are announcing their new alliance with Cash Money Records.

The Miami producers behind hits for Fat Joe, Rick Ross and DJ Khaled are confirming reports that they've signed an in-house production deal with Cash Money and took to their Twitter to make the announcement.

Speaking to their 22,000 followers they said,

The Game Goes After UFC Fighter Rampage Jackson

It seems as if West coast rapper The Game has abandoned his “no beef” philosophy, outside of music that is.

Via Twitter, The Game started going in on UFC fighter turned actor Rampage Jackson for a reason that has yet to be disclosed.

On his Twitter page yesterday (August 4) @ihategame, The Game wrote:

Man Kills 17-Month Old Little Boy For Acting Like A Girl

Authorities in Long Island, New York have arrested a man for allegedly punching a toddler in the chest and killing him.

According to reports, Pedro Jones punched his girlfriend's son, Roy Jones, in the chest so hard that it caused the 17-month-old toddler to go into cardiac arrest.

Although the toddler was not moving, Police state that it was not Jones who called 911, but a third party after noticing that the child was limp.

When authorities questioned Jones about what happened, Jones states that he “was trying to make the little boy tough” and that he punched (more...)
