Solomon Burke Passes Away At 70

Soul singer Solomon Burke died on Sunday in Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.  The 70-year-old singer reportedly died of natural causes and was flying to The Netherlands with the band De Dijk to perform.

His catalog of hits included "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, "Cry To Me" and "Got To Get You Off My Mind."

The rotund singer often performed his hits sitting on a custom built thrown with a crown on top of his head.  I guess ya'll thought T.I. invented that.

Burke  was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and is survived by 21 children, 90 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Figures he would be all pimped out like that. Why he would do that I don't know. I used to be a fan.
