Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson are the latest ladies to be added to the lineup of VH1 divas.

The ladies will be part of this year’s celebration of women in music alongside Katy Perry, Sugarland, and Paramore.

This year’s show will feature Minaj, Hilson, Perry and Sugarland performing for thousands troops at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego while Paramore travels to the Middle East to perform at a military base.

Speaking on the opportunity, Hilson released a statement to the Associated Press saying,

“I get to be among so many other influential women, groundbreaking women, strong, powerful, confident women, not only on that day, but just to be a part of the legacy of ‘VH1 Divas.”

She also added that she believes all the necessary characteristics to be considered a diva,

“Strong woman, yes I am. Leader, yes I am. Innovative, creative, all those things, yes, I am that.”

Other past entertainers on “VH1 Divas” include  Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé.

“VH1 Divas Salute The Troops” premieres Dec. 5 on VH1 and will be broadcast internationally by the Armed Forces Network.
