Nicki Minaj has finally decided to address all of the hate that has been coming her way.

In an interview with YRB Magazine, Nicki states that female rappers aren’t really mad at her, they are mad at the missed opportunity they had to get in the game and become successful.

“These girls aren’t mad at me. They’re mad at themselves,” Nicki told YRB. “[It’s] jealousy, insecurity and being broke. When you haven’t capitalized and you see I’m about to capitalize on this Shyte like it’s never been done before, then you’re mad at yourself.”

In addition to discussing haters, Nicki also discussed her fears about releasing her debut album Pink Friday.

“I was so afraid to put out an album for fear of failure,” Nicki said. “I wanted to put my album out on Valentine’s Day of 2011. And my label was like, are you f**king crazy?”

In the interview Nicki also discussed why she decided to switch her style up from around the way girl to video Barbie.

[On my album,] I talk about my family and a little bit of dysfunction – or I should say, lots of dysfunction. And I’m just going to talk about me and self-searching and why I made the choices [I did],” Nicki said about the differentiating between her aliases. “Onika is not Nicki is not Roman. People will never be able to figure me out. I can tell you my whole life story from beginning to end, and then tomorrow, I’ll be just a different person.”
