While Atlantic records signee Wiz Khalifa is moving past his recent arrest in North Carolina, a member of his entourage is reeling from a robbery.

The New York Post reports that 26-year-old Julian Wimbush, 26 who does merchandising for Wiz, was approached around 5 a.m. near the InterContinental Hotel by a man asking him if he “wanted a girl.”

Wimbush told the man “yes” and then followed him to an undisclosed location where he was told to remove his wallet, necklace and cellphone to go through a metal detector.

Sources tell The Post that Wimbush handed over his belongings to the man, who then bolted.

The Post also reports that Wimbush concocted a fake story to police about being robbed on the way to Burger King before later confessing to the real account.

Benjy Grinberg, Khalifa’s manager and president of Rostrum Records has released a statement on the incident saying,

“Julian was not a part of any of our activities and I can’t account for where he was during the time we were working.”

Wiz went on to give interviews unfazed with Funkmaster Flex and MTV following the incident.
