  She isn't famous for her music? Nicki,You SAMPLED HER MUSIC in your early years. PICK FIGHTS? She didn't work with Nicki on that D-Dot track that was "leaked." To be the top you have to knock the next chick off the top of THEIR game? Do your hip hop/pop music thing and pay homage to the greats that gave you an idea...1 more thing, pop is not ROOTED in BLACK CULTURE. Lil Kim represents a movement that was EMBRACED by BLACKS and remained true to it, even when she CROSSED OVER. I'm not a fan of her music at all!

  No, but seriously, how much A$$ can someone kiss before s/he is feed up? Lil Kim is the progenitor. PERIOD! Nicki can't take that away from or replace her even if she tried!! So Nicki wasn't being anymore disrespectful than Kim has been for the past year. Let's be fair ppl. I'm a Lil Kim fan too so I'm not picking side because at the end of the day, I could care less about both NIcki and Kim, but what I saying is that everyone has the right to be TIRED of being picked on for doing nothing wrong!

  I gotta say that I'm disappointed in Lil Kim. How much homage does she need? Seriously! I think the real issue is her fear of no longer being relevent, and with her status in hip-hop, that's not something she should worry about. I am from the Lil Kim era, and while I cant say that I like half of the stuff I hear on the radio now, I do like the fact that Nikki is bringing focus back to a catagory of music that is all but void of artists. There is no shortage of male hip-hop artists, but females only have a few. What makes me sad is when we finally have talented female artists to celebrate, they spend their time acting like chicks from Flava of Love. It only perpetuates stereotypes, and takes focus away from a forum I truly love. Lil Kim is too mature for this. She will always have her crown, & she has an entire generation of people who love her music. She doesnt need to beef like some Jr. high school chick to get that point across, and in a genre of music that's in desperate need of female voices, ego needs to take a back seat to music.
