Wyclef Hosts Free Concert For Egypt

Rapper/musician, Wyclef Jean is known for his worldwide community activity.  Today he doesn’t want the political protesters in Egypt to feel alone, so he is putting on a free concert online just for them.

Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak has stated he will continue his 30-year reign over the country and peaceful citizens are on the verge of becoming violent.

Clef saw footage of the protesters and decided to act. Although his failed presidential run in Haiti has kept him out of office, he can still use the instrument of his music to inspire and make a difference.

The former Fugee frontman announced today’s concert and his motivation behind it,

“It’s going to come out on Facebook Friday morning, seven o’clock, we’re gonna drop it. Wyclef singing for the people of Egypt straight from my heart. All the people in Egypt that’s watching me on Twitter, I want you all to know that you’re not alone.”
