50 Cent Film 'Things Fall Apart' To Premiere At Miami Film Fest

50 Cent underwent a serious weight-loss transformation for his role in the film, Things Fall Apart, and finally the world will get to see if the sacrifice paid off. The Queens rap mogul will be on hand for the movie's world premiere at the Miami International Film Festival.

The film is directed by Mario Van Peebles and was shot in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Fif plays a football player named "Deon Barnes" who is sidelined by cancer.

50 says he was concerned about losing over 50 pounds for the movie after hearing how Christian Bale almost killed himself doing the same process for The Machinist. “I had to discipline myself not to actually have myself be in the physical state to convey the energy I felt,” He told the AP. The film is set to premiere at the Gusman Center in Miami on March 5th.
