Bill Cosby Tells Russell Simmons: "Fawk Your Apology"

Bill Cosby Tells Off Russell Simmons

The beef still cooks between actor Bill Cosby and hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.

According to Simmons he tried to quell the animosity between the two at the recent Jackie Robinson Annual Awards Dinner where both attended, but Mr Huxtable wasn’t having it.

Simmons recounts the failed apology that went nothing like he planned in his blog on Globalgrind.com writing…

“I wanted to find him to apologize, to tell him I was sorry about my statements and to tell him that I loved him.”

But instead the Def Jam co-creator says when he went to apologize Cosby told him, “Get the [bleep] out my face!”

Simmons goes on further in his blog to claim that Cosby even gave him a shoulder shiver when they crossed paths at the event, saying Cosby,

“walked by me and bumped me with his shoulder as I walked offstage after presenting my award to Sean Combs, who was honored at the event] . . . I then loved him even more.”

The two men have had an ongoing misunderstanding since 2009 when Cosby launched his “State of Emergency” campaign calling for the clean up of hip-hop lyrics. Simmons vocally opposed Cosby’s campaign but was apparently ready to let bygones be bygones at the recent Jackie Robinson event.

It seems Cosby, however, still holds a grudge.

Reps for Cosby refused to comment on the incident.

Both of these cats are too old to have “beef”. For one I do like the fact that Simmons went to him like a man to apologize, albeit, he didn’t have to. Cosby acted like a little bytch at the awards though. Cosby, word to the wise, I love the history of what you have said and done for the black community. However, seems to me you’re turning into a bitter old man. Live your life and ease off the gas.

    I’m out…

Mr. Cosby is focused on saving the previous and next generation of young Black souls if they would only step up and listen. Cosby is no longer in the game to make large piles of money and speaks his mind in order to alert young minds of the serious of living up to their full potential while honoring those who carried the burdens before them.

Mr. Simmons is a Hip-Hop icon and has the ability to create significant change within the Hip-Hop community. Artist should be able to express themselves as they please, but personally they can achieve and convey much more artistic credibility without the use of vulgarity and inflammatory remarks in their music. Hip-Hop is poetry and sometimes poetry may need to utilize profanity to get the message across, but every other word is a bit much.

Bill Cosby is the one taking Gods name in vain holding a grudge.

The loving fruits of the spirit are being graciously given to you. Cosby, please take of the loving fruit, and eat of it, and find rest to your soul.
Bill Cosby, Humble yourself before Russell Simmons, and make peace with him.

Proverbs 16:7When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

I do not blame Bill Cosby. I have respect for him and his view of Hip Hop Lyrics. Most songs do not display the best moral for our children. Most lyrics a responsible parent would not want their children repeating those lyrics even if there are no curse words.

I think Bill comes from a generation from which he truly loves his brother. He is not one for the bs.
