Launches Project With First Single/Video “You And What Army”

After two years spent establishing himself as an independent and solidifying his fan base, former Shady Records artist Bobby Creekwater is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited solo debut album.

The project, titled Revenge is due out on May 3, 2011 via BGOV/3PM ENT.

Launching the project will be the emcee’s first single “You and What Army,” accompanied by the music video dropping today (March 30, 2011.)

The song and visual– directed by The ReelBanditz, capture the essence of who Bobby Creekwater is and what his music represents: Atlanta.

“We chose to make this the first single because it embodies everything that brought me to this point,” Creek explains. “As a kid, knowing that nothing could stop me gave me the courage to follow my dreams. And my experiences in the music business have proven that I still won’t let anything stand in my way.”

Since leaving Shady Records in 2009, Bobby Creekwater and his BGOV Media Group imprint have worked tirelessly to continue building on the momentum and popularity he gained during his early career.

Their efforts have proved successful and through a series of mixtape releases, Creek has kept his buzz growing by consistently releasing quality music.

His constant musical presence also allowed him to create new strategic partnerships with some of the best and brightest in the game.

Most recently, Creek put those partnerships on display at SXSW, where he performed alongside Smoke DZA, Rapper Big Pooh, Pill, Phil Ade, Killer Mike, Young Dro, PAC DIV and many more.

Creek is also scheduled to provide Big Krit with tour support throughout the summer, appearing on several spot dates.

On the album which focuses mainly on Creek’s lyricism, features come few and far between.

Charlie Skrill, who once was the other half of Creek’s first group Jatis, appears on “Cut It Out;” while long time collaborator Mykel lends his vocals to “Get Money Girl.” And lastly, Killer Mike and Big K.R.I.T. – whose southern fried lyricism comes from much the same place as Creek’s, appear on the album’s last cut “Airborn.”

Revenge was produced entirely by up-and-coming production duo “I Am Invisible,” with the exception of “Round of Applause,” which was crafted by D. Focis.
