Nicki Minaj Talks Colorful Wig Collection, “Shoutout to Marge [Simpson]”

Nicki Minaj is speaking on what a number of her Barbies are aiming to copy, her colorful wig collection.

The Young Money princess was recently spotted at the launch for Casio's new Tryx Camera where she donned a Marge Simpson inspired wig complete with a sky-high beehive and pink streak.

According to Nicki she never thought she'd be inspired by the blue-coifed cartoon character but credits Marge with the idea.

She tells People,

“Never did I think I would be rocking the Marge Simpson, but you know what, now that I am [wearing] them I realize that she was cutting edge and before her time. So shout out to Marge.[...]My wigs are ever changing in height, width, color, size. They make me feel happy. Wearing them makes me feel that I can be a different person every day and that is kind of exciting.”

She adds that some days it's difficult deciding which wig to wear but in the end they all make her feel the same, happy.

Wearing them makes me feel that I can be a different person every day and that is kind of exciting…Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I am like, ‘This is a high-top day' or ‘This is a bob day,' but when I get my clothes on that's when I see.”

Nicki credits her array of wigs to her hair stylist Terrence Davidson who she says is “always on the prowl” for a new style.
