Salt N’ Pepa Appear On 'Oprah'

Legendary Hip-Hop duo Salt N’ Pepa were the latest celebs to grace the ‘Oprah’ stage Thursday when they stopped by to perform some of their classic hits.

As previously reported, the ladies recently wrapped their “Legends Of Hip-Hop” tour, highlighting the 25th anniversary of their first release 1986’s Hot, Cool, & Vicious

Now on ‘Oprah’, the femcees participated in the media maven’s “Rock Goddesses of the ’70s and ’80s” episode highlighting female acts from Stevie Nicks to Joan Jett.

During the Hip-Hop pair’s interview after performances of “Shoop” and “Whatta Man”, Oprah made sure to ask them about their beginnings.

The ladies revealed that unbeknownst to many they worked together as telemarketers alongside comedian Martin Lawrence and rap duo Kid N’ Play.

“We were telephone solicitors at Sears Roebuck and Martin Lawrence worked there, Kid ‘N Play, and Salt-N-Pepa at the same time, [laughs]” said Salt. “And now we’re on Oprah!”
