Kobe, Lakers, Make PSA Promoting Acceptance
Kobe: “Words Can Be Hurtful”
After the fallout following Kobe Bryant's now infamous gay slur heard round the world, the future Hall of Famer and a group of his Laker teammates recently produced a PSA to promote the message of social tolerance.
In the clip, Bryant says,
The are all kinds of people in the world. That's what makes the world so special.”
The PSA aired by Good Day LA this morning, features Lakers, Paul Gasol, Lamar Odom, Ron Artes, and Shannon Brown who all contribute soundbites.
As previously reported, the Lakers and NBA executives recently met with representatives from GLAAD to discuss how the League should handle homophobic incidents.
Bryant recently tried to save face by saying he would beat up kids who taunted gays in high school.
