Da Brat's Probation Keeps Her From Mariah Carey's Baby Shower

Although Da Brat's been released from jail, the So So Def star is still suffering the consequences of her actions through probation.

As previously reported, Brat was set free from an Aldo, Georgia prison after serving time for striking a woman with a bottle of rum in 2007.

Unfortunately for Brat however she's not totally free and house arrest kept her from her good friend Mariah Carey's March baby shower.

She tells Sister 2 Sister magazine,

 “I couldn't go because I got this ankle monitor on. I can't leave the state for six months.”

She adds that although she wasn't able to attend the celebration for Carey and Nick Cannon's twins, she couldn't be happier for the couple.

“I'm so happy for her. She so deserves it. She has one of the most beautiful spirits. And her and Nick together, they are so good for each other. They (sic) both kids, and I love that. She's been through a lot and I'm grateful that she found somebody like him.”

Brat recently made headlines for a new tattoo paying homage to Michael Jackson and for her remix of Chris Brown's hit “Look At Me Now.”
