Artist/author releases mixtape ‘C.O.L.O.U.R.S’ BY DEREK WATKINS

Fonzworth Bentley is back on the music scene with a new mixtape available for streaming online at www.therealmrbentley.com/.

Spelled out “Cool Outrageous Lovers of Uniquely Raw Style,” C.O.L.O.U.R.S is Bentley’s long-awaited project described as an “eclectic collage of throwback beats, orchestral melodies and thoughtful lyrics that offers listeners a refreshing take on Hip-Hop.

“We’re all uniquely made,” says Bentley, born Derek Watkins. “Just as no two colors in the spectrum are alike, no two songs on C.O.L.O.U.R.S are alike.”

The mixtape’s lead single “Believe It” featuring Faith Evans – available on iTunes chronicles the rapper’s personal trials and triumphs, while the laid-back track “Greener” featuring Anthony Hamilton celebrates the magic of a good woman.

The mixtape also features newcomers Blush and Sammy Melody and very rare performances by Dungeon Family veterans Slimm Cutta Calhoun, Backbone, and Cool Breeze (the original creator of the term “Dirty South”).

Fans can go to Bentley’s website to both listen and download several tracks from C.O.L.O.U.R.S. with features by Lil Wayne, Bun B, Pimp C, Kanye West and Andre 3000.

C.O.L.O.U.R.S features a mix of emerging and established producers including Rashad Smith, Warren Campbell, Michael Angelo, Speek, A. Goldstein, Sa-Ra, Precision, Micah Germany and more.
