Grant Hill To Lend Support To Jalen Rose In New Detroit Charter School

Jalen Rose, Grant Hill Team Up To Support Charter School

ESPN analyst and former Michigan basketball star Jalen Rose will partner with NBA veteran Grant Hill to help fund a new charter school in Detroit.

Christened, The Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, the school is schedule to open its doors at the start of the next school year. Rose, a Detroit native, says he has the full support of Grant, who played the first six years of his NBA career as a Detroit Piston. Rose also says, the two have squashed whatever hard feelings they had over Rose's statements about Grant in the recent Fab 5 documentary.

“Any time, for example, you have a critically acclaimed piece like the Fab Five documentary has been, you're going to have 99 percent of the people that love it, but when you have the brutal honesty, you're going to have that 1 percent on the other side of the coin, so to speak,” Rose recently said.

“I definitely talked to Grant and reached out to Coach K, and again clarified that that was how I felt as a high school recruit.”

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is also reportedly interested in lending his support for the school.
