Lil Mama Says Nicki Minaj Copied Her Style, "I'm Actually Flattered Because She Imitated Me" [Photos]

Lil Mama Speaks On Nicki Minaj

Rapper turned America's Best Dance Crew judge Lil Mama thinks Young Money artist Nicki Minaj stole her style.

In a recent interview with Vibe.com, Lil Mama explains why she feels that she's the inspiration behind Nicki's look.

"My cut is blunt and futuristic and Nicki Minaj started wearing that bob on her head after she came to my show, so at the end of the day I know what I do and I know what I possess and I know who I am."

Lil Mama's gripe with Minaj comes from her belief that the platinum selling rapper stole her hairstyle after visiting America's Best Dance Crew.

"She was a guest on America's Best Dance Crew and immediately afterwards, everywhere she went, she was wearing the haircut, the same exact way," Lil Mama claims.

"I'm actually flattered because she imitated me and it felt like something that I was doing was cute and in time for the fashion and for the season, so it's like let's live, let's do it," she continued.

"I'm a trendsetter. The biggest form of flattery is imitation so I'm flattered."

    I knew lil mama was completely out of her mind when she went up on stage with Jay & Alicia but now I am entirely convinced. For her to even think let alone say that Nikki would copy what can be only called a vulgar white bob is ridiculous. Nikki Minaj is unique and daring in her style. Lil Mama is an utter disgrace & hard to look at because she is bow wow's identical twin sister. Wtf is she a judge on a dancing show btw? She can't even dance, or sing for that matter. The only thing different about these hairstyles is that Nicki's looks better &nd Lil' Mama's looks like something that she found on the road and decided to try out .
