Exclusive: Charlie Wilson And Dallas Austin Talk Production, Snoop Dogg At The BMIs [Video]

While on the red carpet at the BMIs, HipHopWired got a chance to chat with everyone's favorite 'uncle', Charlie Wilson who spoke on a number of topics including Snoop Dogg .

Ubeknownst to many, Wilson previously accepted the coveted BMI Icon Award two years ago, the same award Snoop was honored with Saturday.

Speaking on that he says,

"I'm very happy for him, I'm here for him. To see him get this award is incredible. He knows what the fans like to have, his writing has been incredible throughout his career. I just think this award means we've been appreciated and been accepted in writing songs."

In addition to Charlie Wilson, we also caught up with Dallas Austin who showed off his latest project, his beat machine available for sale at Best Buy.

Exclusive: Cali Swag District And YG Talk Snoop Dogg's Influence At The BMI Awards [Video]

HipHopWired was in the building Saturday for the BMI Awards where Snoop Dogg, Drake, B.o.B, Lex Luger and Universal Music Publishing Honored were all presented with awards.

While on the red carpet we caught up with West Coast emcees Cali Swag District and "Toot It And Boot It" rapper YG who spoke on the influence of Uncle Snoop on their careers.

"Snoop's been doing it since he was my age and probably younger, he's just a huge influence on the rap game. I don't even know where to start, it's crazy, " said Jayare of Cali Swag.
