Spike Lee Produces Hip-Hop Horror Film
Spike Lee Taps Legendary Rappers For Hip-Hop Horror Film
Spike Lee signed on to be executive producer of the hip-hop horror film entitled, You're Nobody Til Somebody Kills You.
The title is adapted from the record by The Notorious B.I.G and the movie features Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh and Ed Lover in the cast.
The story follows two New York City homicide detectives that are chasing a suspect that has been murdering hip-hop artists.
Spike's protégé Michael A. Pinckney is directing the horror flick which is slated to premiere at the Williamsburg International Film Festival in Brooklyn this September.
Pinckney spoke on the experience and said, “Shooting ‘You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Kills You' and having my mentor Spike Lee come on board as an Executive Producer was a dream come true for me - working with an amazing cast of actors and hip hop luminaries, such as Doug E. Fresh and Big Daddy Kane was an added bonus.”
