Big K.R.I.T. Talks Push Back With XXL

A lot of country rap fans got bummed out when it was announced that Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. was pushing back the release of his debut album from September 27th to early 2012.

In a sit down interview with K.R.I.T. XXLmag.com, the Def Jam signee explained the reason for pushing back his album saying, “I really just wanna take out more time and work on the music, and they let me do that.”

“With some of the samples that I chose to use, tracking down the person that owns the publishing has become a task,” he says. “It’s just something I’m not quite used to dealing with.”

Krizzle also talked about two potential features that may make the album whenever it’s released:

“There’s two features that came up that I had the opportunity to work with,” he said.

“I ain’t gonna mention who they are—they super, duper legends, put it like that.”

“And I got some records on there that I feel like the subject matter and the content, I just needed to kind of mold it a little bit better.”

Waiting a few more months for a better product isn’t such a bad thing. As long as we don’t have to wait as long as fans have for that Young Jeezy album.
