Wale Interview With Hot 97

Wale dropped into Hot 97 on Thursday for an interview with Angie Martinez.

During the interview the MMG rapper talked about his new album Ambition and talked about the emotions in his music.

"I'm just myself," Wale said. "I don't have anything that I gotta prove."

"I know what I am to my city. I know what I to my fans. I don't gotta try to out cool everybody every song. I gotta give emotion."

The emotional rapper also gave an update on Ross' condition saying, "He's resting, he's working on his album."

"He's good. He just needs to get some rest. He's been working himself real hard."
