Odd Future Kicked Off Big Day Out Fest
Controversial Cali collective Odd Future has been scratched out of the lineup on New Zealand’s Big Day Out Festival over homophobic lyrics.
The group was x’ed from the list of performers after festival organizers were pressured by local activists over the group’s song lyrics rife with anti-gay content.
A local resident also wrote a letter to officials complaining about the groups controversial lyrics.
Th Big Day Out Festival will take place without OFWGKTA at Mount Smart Stadium from January 20 to February 5 with scheduled performances from Kanye West, SoundGarden, Chemical Romance, Girl Talk and others.
