Left Brain Charged In Altercation
After being accused of hitting a photographer last week at New Orleans show, Odd Future member Vyron “Left Brain” Turner has been formally charged with the assault of the female photog.
Brain was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly hitting Harris in the head while she was working at New Orleans' Voodoo Festival last week, leaving a scar on her face and breaking her camera.
Initially Harris refused to press charges but changed her mind after what she says was an attack of her credibility by the group.
“The unexpected turn of events, including an attack by Odd Future on my credibility and motives for discussing the incident, have caused me to re-evaluate my initial decision.” she wrote.
Festival promoters have since released a statement distancing themselves from the violent acts of the group.
“The VOODOO EXPERIENCE does not in any way condone the behavior of Odd Future towards the approved media assembled in the photo pit during the band's set yesterday,” promoters said about the event. “Festival organizers would like to apologize to their media guests who experienced and/or witnessed this abusive behavior.”
If found guilty, Brain could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
