Heavy D Funeral Plans Announced
Heavy D's Funeral To Be Held Next Week
A private funeral service for Heavy D will be on Friday, November 18th in New York.
Only family and close friends have been invited to Friday's intimate burial service, while TMZ reports that a public viewing will be held on Thursday for fans to pay their last respects to the late rapper.
The surviving Boyz of Heavy D & the Boyz, DJ Eddie F and dancer G-Wiz, are excepted to attend funeral services on Friday, along with Sean "Diddy" Combs and Mary J. Blige, who worked with the Heavy D at Uptown Records.
The Wayans brothers are also on a list of selected attendees. Heavy D performed and wrote the theme music to the Wayans' comedy show "In Living Color."
Dwight "Heavy D" Myers died Tuesday after collapsing near his Beverly Hills residents.
The official cause of Heavy D's death has not been announced by the Los Angeles coroner.
