 Heavy D's Cause Of Death Revealed

 

The untimely death of rapper Heavy D was due to pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis, reports TMZ. It appears that the beloved rapper had a blood clot (a thrombus) in his leg that traveled up to his lungs, blocking blood flow to his heart.

Days before his death—on Novemmber 9, 2011—the veteran rapper had returned from Europe after performing at a Michael Jackson tribute concert. Blood clots in the leg  can occur during long flights. Another possible factor in Hev's death is that he suffered from heart disease, according to the LA Coroner.

I wonder if pulmonary embolism can be prevented or detected early enough to get treatment.  Are there any warning signs related to this issue, Im going to have to do my research. RIP HEAVY D.....
