Ever since Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9”, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I decided that their respective careers would fare better as a Voltron-like unit, the concept of a “supergroup” has been taken to new heights. Although they weren’t the first band of solo artists to become a group (The Firm, The Four Horsemen, EMC), they have achieved significant success by being signed to a major label and bringing fans a brand new stew of excitement. Continuing that trend of excitement is the new foursome that will get any jaded backpacker giddy.

Queens representative, and original member of The Firm, Cormega recently announced the formation of a rhyme unit known as M.A.R.S. on his Legal Hustle TV YouTube channel. Joining Cormega are NY’s Saigon, Queens’ Action Bronson and Long Island’s Roc Marciano. Right now, there are probably a few Hip-Hop heads that wet their pants. Just to get you a little more enthused, Cormega teased the first single coming from the group titled “Mars,” which is produced by none other than Large Professor.

“We’re going to show ni**as how to rhyme for real,” Mega says in the clip. Yeah, we’re ready.
