They say “time heals all wounds.” It looks like all is well with America’s favorite young couple, Chris Brown and Rihanna. The two came together for a remix version for each of their new releases. “Birthday Cake” can be found on Rihanna‘s latest album Talk That Talk, while “Turn Up The Music” can be found on Breezy’s upcoming album, Fortune.

Both of these remix records will definitely have people talking, but the question is, “Is America ready to move on from the past?” Domestic violence is a very serious crime, and the photos that resulted from the incident didn’t help ease the situation at all.  Chris Brown has definitely endured his fair share of ridicule for his transgression, and is finally being recognized for his talents again. While good music has allowed people to overlook the shortcomings of many artists, it’s never been faced with something of this magnitude. There will also be questions as to what message is being sent to the youth by the two uniting once again. But, this situation is over three years old now and each of these individuals have grown and experienced a lot since then.

For now, take a listen to the music and don’t forget to wish Rih Rih a happy birthday.
