In 2008, HipHopDX ran an exclusive story detailing Plies’ criminal past. Or lack thereof. According to their findings, the ultimate goon’s first run in with the law was in 2006 after he was already a gold-certified artist. Their reports also unveiled that the “goon affiliated ex-drug dealer” was actually a well-rounded student who attended University of Central Florida and Miami University before dropping out.
