The Black Mafia Family(BMF) has gained an almost mythical stature in the hood thanks to kingpins Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory turning the organization into a multi-million dollar drug empire. Rick Ross having a hit record called “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” that name checked Big Meech in the hook, and numerous artists affiliated with the crew, only enhanced BMF’s aura. There have been a number of documentaries and profiles of the organization and the latest is BMF: The Rise & Fall of a Hip Hop Drug Empire, a DVD by Errante Film Productions and Image Entertainment to be released in May 2012.
The 80-minute documentary will chronicle the rise and fall of BMF from the perspective of the government agencies that brought the organization down. Watch the trailer for BMF: The Rise & Fall of a Hip Hop Drug Empire below.
