Tupac Shakur has been dead for 15 years, but ever since his hologram made its stage debut at this year's Coachella Music Festival, one person close to him is now convinced that he may be still around. Suge Knight told L.A. radio station, 93.5 KDAY that he doesn't rule out the possibility that his friend is still alive and kicking.
Knight reiterated the sentiments of conspiracy theorists who believe that the West Coast MC faked his death. Last last year a false story hit the 'Net claiming that Pac had somehow made his way to New Zealand, and had been living a quiet life for more than a decade. When prodded over his alleged involvement in the rapper's shooting, Knight made mention to the urban legend. "Maybe the question is ... Pac's not really dead ... Pac's somewhere else," he said.
The former Death Row label head also maintained that he had nothing to do with Shakur's murder. "I have a 45-inch bullet in my head by grabbing Tupac, pulling him down, that's really what happened." The one-time duo was leaving the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on the night of the shooting. Shakur was hit in the chest, pelvis, right hand, and thigh. He died a week later in a Las Vegas hospital. Although Pac was never buried, his body was cremated, and bits of his ashes were smoked by The Outlawz.
In related news, Pac's hologram will make its second appearance at Coachella this weekend, and may even go on tour with Dr. Dre and Snoop.
